| View | Add Favorite People tell me that I look much younger than my age; I guess I'm just an "old soul" trapped in a younger body.Have always been drawn to the mountains and live in the small mining town of Nederland @ 8,236 feet elevation. Work "down below" as a nurse in Boulder country. I have 3 awesome adult children: Matt, Laura & Tesselise, who have been the focus of my life. My other adult children include step-son, Stacy, and semi-adopted family: Sabrina & Pablo. My husband, James, & I have made our home together in our cabin-like house in "Old Town" Nederland.Important causes: Equal rights for ALL people, stop Global Warming, environmental protection, animal rights/protection, world peace, world hunger, homelessness, stopping child and partner abuse, religious freedom, freeing unlawfully imprisoned political/religious prisoners, healthy living/eating/gardening, and promoting more laughter and loving in all human beings.I am open-minded, compassionate, witty, not-bad-looking, a great cook, hate to officially "work out" (don't like to sweat; at least not from working out!), a pretty-good listener, strong-headed, a "giver" and generally a loving person."Otter Child Woman", my Crow Indian name, was a blessing bestowed upon me by Tom Yellowtail, and elder and medicine man back in 1976. He honored me with this name that came to him in a vision. I cherish this honor, have always had an affinity towards sea otters and found it interesting that on the Native American Medicine Wheel, my totem animal is the Otter. Altough I am not Native American, I strive to uphold and respect their beliefs. The sea otter tatoo on my left shoulder serves as my inspiration to strive to better myself and help to preserve & improve the world in which I live. The 4 arrows tatoo on my right inner ankle (designed by my daughter, Laura, who also shares this design along with my other daughter, Tess) signifies positive change in our 3 lives. One of my arrows is colored purple to stand for protection. Laura, my daughter, just tattooed an awesome Celtic knot in the middle of my back, which will be colored in soon.

Fly fishing is my passion, hiking, camping, sitting in front of a campfire or fireplace, thunder/lightening storms, walking in the rain, watching wildlife. My goal is to fly fish in New Zealand someday. Which wolf would you be?
You're the alpha female. You help run the pack, mostly the ladies, and all of the kids are yours. You are a great mom! And guess what? You get to lift your leg and pee! Hahah!

Nana, my paternal grandmother, who died at age 100 years & 6 months old. She was a true matriarch and proper English woman who taught me that ALL people are equal. An educated woman for her time, she taught kindergarden on an Indian reservation near Omaha and rode to school on the family pony. After my great grandmother bought a Cadillac, Nana drove around as the "school bus", picking up her students so they wouldn't have to walk to school in the rain or snow.
