My name is Kirk McGuire, and I'm a Bronze Artist. And a lover of Earth, our "Mother Earth." I love any, and all wildlife... My heart, and body gets a thrill, out of seeing even the simplest creature! I was born in 1960.In the small town of Placerville Ca. "Gold Rush Country". And I'm a "Mountain Boy" at heart...My Parents noticed my Artistic talents at the early age of four... I have been Artistic every since...Over the years I have worked making many types of self taught creations. I have worked with water clay, wax, oil clay, leather, jewelry, deer horn, wood. And drawn with pen & ink, painted. To name a few of the mediums I have used in my life as a Artist...I have always liked to work with my hands, and imagination! In 1983 I married my childhood sweetheart, and we moved to the Monterey Coast. From the Sierra foothills of Placerville, Ca. In 1983 I started working for the Monterey Sculpture Center. The largest West Coast Art Foundry. I worked for "MSC" as a "Metal Finisher". Then a "Master Mold Maker", and manager of the "Mold Department" for nine years all together. Then I moved on to exhibit my sculpture's. Show, and sell my work in Galleries, and Art & wine shows. Or sell my sculpture's off my own .. Web Galleries at: kirkmcguire.com... We now have two children in their twenties! Time flies! I have twenty three years of Bronze Sculpting experience. And at least forty years of being a self taught Artist... I have had over 1,500 of my works collected by Art collectors. And I have sold my work all over the U.S.A. and abroad. My sculpture has been collected, and shown in Shaw Centre Singapore. I was commissioned to sculpt a Tiger, and Horse for a Malaysian Princess, of Johor Baharu. I have sold, and shown my Bronze Sculpture at: St.John Virgin Islands, Turk's and Caicos Islands, Hawaii, Carmel by the Sea, Sausalito, San Diego, Falls Church Virginia, Key West, Fl. Boston, to name a few...I have been featured in "The Singapore Tattler" magazine several times, as well and "Wildlife Art" magazine... I also make "Raku" ceramic sculpture "fired" in the ancient Japanese way. We live on the Monterey Coast. And have a cabin, and studio for my sculpture in the Ca. High Sierra, on fifteen acres of pine forest, Pacific Dogwood, and wildlife! My hope, and goals are to make people more aware, of the amazing, and beautiful creatures that are endangered on our planet. And to:"RESPECT MOTHER EARTH"
