The finest turban headed rhythm & blues

About Me

Su primera referencia discográfica "Shake, Shout & Soul with...
Formed during 2006 by members of other well-known bands from Barcelona's underground scene, being big fans of african-american sounds from the 50's and the 60's, The Fabulous Ottomans were born to re-create said sounds, and more precisely the ones found in between both decades. Rhythm & Blues, Rock'n'Roll and what has become known as Early Soul are the basis of their repertoire.
In 2007 they begin to gig regularly and in less than a year they tour over Spain, France, Italy and Germany. They play in international festivals such as Screamin' Festival in Calella, Ubangi Stomp in Benidorm, Let's Get Wild in Stuttgart or the Funtastic Drácula Carnival in Valencia, and share stage with artists such as The Cleftones, The Trashmen, Bobby Crown or Sharon Jones (who had previously collaborated with some of them recording the sold-out single "Los Walkysons featuring Sharon Jones").
Their first recorded reference "Shake, Shout & Soul with... The Fabulous Ottomans" is issued in Barcelona's Buttefly Records and is recieved with rave reviews, which conclude with the initial run sold out in a period of six months. Nowadays they're preparing their first LP and they've got a second seven inches coming up. For 2008 they plan to show their turbans around Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Switzerland. If they come around your town, you'd better surrender to the “Turk Invasion”.
