Teddy

My stagename's just 'Teddy', my Fringe show is called 'Teddy Bares' you see what i've done? Eh? Eh?

About Me

*** NEW VENTURE: As i'm freelance people think i have every day off. Why not humour them?! I'm taking suggestions for what people wish they could get time off work to do but can't. This month i'm visiting Warhammer World in Nottingham on behalf of someone who can't go, and i'm also getting a colonic on behalf of another person! See my recent blogs for details. Email suggestions to: [email protected] and/or join my Facebook group: Teddy Has a Day Off ***

Have a read of my blog and if you like it subscribe. It's inconsistent but occasionally reaches a level that i feel entertains. Also, i have a separate comedy myspaz page for corporate whoring purposes - feel free to visit: myspace.com/comedianteddy and add me.

I'm a freelance comedian and writer. For more trumpet blowing check out my comdian page on www.myspace.com/comedianteddy or www.comedycv.co.uk/teddy

I'm fascinated by Eastern Europe, have been to Prague, Tallinn, Krakow, Wroclaw, and Warsaw. Places i'd love to see are Gdansk, Torun, Kiev, Lviv, Brno, Bratislava, Ljubljana and many more. I'm off to Lithuania for a week's hols on Wednesday. Woo!

Quite a few folks have added me either from seeing me onstage or from reading my blog. It's nice to be added by peeps on the same wavelength so if you wannabe myspaz friends...just drop me a message.

My Interests

Comedy, football, Eastern Europe, pretty faces.

I'd like to meet:

Alexei Mikhailitchenko (l) and Charlie Miller (r) - magical mavericks from memory lane!As well as them: I would like to meet the young ladies making up the Russian girl group 'Serebro', see below. Fucking hell! There is a Chinese saying that in life you meet everyone twice, there's someone in my life i've already met twice. I'd maybe like to meet them for that third time and try to make everything better.Aside from them: basically the folks in my heroes section, plus the following ladies - Cat Porter, Shilpa Shetty, Dani Behr, Geri Halliwell, Yasmine Bleeth, Charlotte Church, Thandie Newton. I don't know what i think could be achieved from meeting them, apart from embarassment at trying to think of something to say.

Music:

Eclectic. From 60s - The Animals, The Kinks, Beatles, Rolling Stones. 70s - The Damned, Bowie, T-Rex, The Clash, Blondie 80s - Rick Astley (really), Transvision Vamp 90s - Catatonia, Longpigs, Ash, Blur, Oasis, and all the Britpop stuff 00s - Hives, Mull Historical Society, Hard-Fi, Sons & Daughters and loads of other stuff...

Movies:

Top Gun - effectively a bible for modern life. Kelly's Heroes - effectively...another bible for modern life, The Godfather Trilogy, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Bad Taste, Roger Dodger, Old Boy, Sin City Batman Begins, Buffalo Soldiers, Clerks, Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Ed Wood, Office Space, Battle Royale, Hero, House of the Flying Daggers, Baseketball, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and loads of others.....

Television:

Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, Sean's Show (though haven't seen it for years), Fantasy Football (as above), Fist of Fun (another classic blast from the past), Coupling (a controversial choice i know), Sopranos, Monkey Dust, Peep Show, Shameless

Books:

Ian Rankin, Christopher Brookmyre, Mark Timlin (a guilty pleasure i recommend), Tony Hawks, David Baddiel,Asne Seierstad, and far more football autobiographies than is healthy!

Heroes:

Mavericks in all walks of life.In football: Davie Cooper, Alexei Mikhailichenko, Charlie Miller, Shota Arveladze. In comedy: Sam Kinison, Doug Stanhope, Frank Skinner, Sean Hughes, Stewart Lee, Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, Maria Bamford, Frankie Boyle, Allan Miller. (it's kind of 'wrong' having the last two there as i know them!)Random: Maverick from Top Gun, Ronnie O'Sullivan, my mate jammy Steven, Chris EvansBelatedly: Alexei Sayle (it's amazing what watching an interview on BBC4 will do to your impressions of someone) Bruno Tonioli from Strictly Come Dancing. Seriously, how cool is he? Also, Donny McCleary - he has 'the biggest cock in Scottish comedy and i would love to suck it' according to him.
