WWW.ERNESTTIBBS.COMI started playing bass at 12 years old. I discovered and became addicted to all the great Bass Players from Chuck Rainey, Abraham Laboriel to Neils-Henning Orsted Pederson. My Dad turned me on to Ray Brown and other Jazz greats at a young age. I grew up in a family with all kinds of great music. Because of that and a great music education, I have been able to play with an amazing variety of musicians. I have worked with musicians such as James Ingram, Brian Auger, Ray Gomez, David Benoit, Andy Summers, Allan Holdsworth, Harvey Mason, Natalie Cole, Brian Bromberg, Keven Toney, Phil UpChurch, Dionne Warwick, Eric Marienthal, Greg Karukas, and many others. I'm also on staff at Musician's Institute (BIT) in Hollywood, CA.
