Paddy Sherlock& the Swingin' Lovers

About Me

Frank Sinatra meets Frankenstein! Think Sinatra, think Fred Astaire but then think of Swing's shadow world.
A world inhabited by the hobo counter-culture of the 1930's.
The music as it was away from the glitzy world of Hollywood. Now bring it up to date - to the 21st century.
This is a band dancing to the joys of life somewhere between the Stray Cats and Louis Jordan, Nat King Cole, Dr. John, James Brown, a little Tom Waits and some New Orleans street band playing on as the levees break.
Anything goes!
From Bunk to Monk through Skunk, Junk, Punk and Funk...
Paddy Sherlock, born Dublin, Ireland, has lived as a professional musician for more than 20 years in Paris.
He sings, plays trombone and is a published songwriter and actor.
He has recorded and toured the world with award winning bands Pheonix, FFF, Liz McComb, Linda Hopkins and Jack Lukeman, made dozens of television and radio appearances on BBC, RTE, FR2 and FR3, Canal+ and playing mainstage at some of the greatest festivals in the world. Glastonbury, Eurokeenes, Roskilde, Transmusical, Pinkpop, Pukkelpop, Montreal jazz festival, Francofolies and literally hundreds more.
His own band "The Swingin' Lovers" has toured widely playing at Nice Jazz festival, Cork Guinness Jazz festival, Marseille jazz festival, Lionel Hampton jazz club, Paris, the Irish cultural centre, Paris, the Czech cultural centre, Paris, Farmleigh house, Dublin, Drumoland Castle, Derry Jazz festival, the new Shelbourne hotel, Dublin and Carton house, Kildare, Madrid, Lisbon, Bruxelles, Brugges.
From Buenos Aires to Budapest - the man has travelled!
He produces the music each year for the Paris GOAL Ball at the Concorde Lafayette and is proud to continue his long association with the charity.
