About Me

"From childhood's hour I have not been As others were; I have not seen As others saw; I could not bring My passions from a common spring. From the same source I have not taken My sorrow; I could not awaken My heart to joy at the same tone; And all I loved, I loved alone. Then- in my childhood, in the dawn Of a most stormy life- was drawn From every depth of good and ill The mystery which binds me still: From the torrent, or the fountain, From the red cliff of the mountain, From the sun that round me rolled In its autumn tint of gold, From the lightning in the sky As it passed me flying by, From the thunder and the storm, And the cloud that took the form (When the rest of Heaven was blue) Of a demon in my view."
-Edgar Allen Poe
I really don't like to describe myself, because how I see myself and how others see me is often very different but here it is...I am sort of a loner, I love my quiet and privacy. I can be outgoing and fun with those I know well and are closest to me, but otherwise I would rather be left of center and in the back corner somewhere. I'm introspective, insightful, investigative, open-minded, a dreamer, perceptive, creative, observant, visual, intense, sensitive, and strong-willed. I read a lot and ponder life, I'm usually somewhere between a paradox and an irony as I look for the answers to the many questions that plague me. I'm also very sensory attuned to my environment and highly intuitive.Other things about me: -I am a dreamer who believes that integrity, honesty, justice, and truth are still alive. -I need to know the 'why' of just about everything. -I'm attracted to things that on the outside appear mystical, mysterious, and even a little disturbing, but inside hold truth, wisdom, and deep awareness. -My past is a broken trail of dreams, lessons learned, and risks taken. -I am stronger for it. -I am ready to fall again. -I am ready to get back up. -I am not defined by pain. -I have survived. -I am in the I am.

You scored as Fallen Angel

You are a Fallen Angel empath. You have not found your place in this world yet and wander as a lost soul. Your wings have been clipped but you know deep inside they will grow back. You need to fly free and proud. Fallen Angels are spiritual beings who were trapped by flesh, and are now seeking to spread their wings again. "Listening is an art not easily come by, but in it there is beauty and great understanding. We listen with the various depths of our being, but our listening is always with a preconception or from a particular point of view. We do not listen simply; there is always the intervening screen of our own thoughts, conclusions, and prejudices. To listen there must be an inward quietness, a freedom from the strain of acquiring, a relaxed attention. This alert yet passive state is able to hear what is beyond the verbal conclusion. Words confuse; they are only the outward means of communication; but to commune beyond the noise of words, there must be in listening, an alert passivity. Those who love may listen, but it is extremely rare to find a listener. Most of us are after results, achieving goals; we are forever overcoming and conquering, and so there is no listening. It is only in listening that one hears the song of the words. "
-Jiddu Krishnamurti
"...I saw them cross the twilight of an age, The sun-eyed children of a marvelous dawn, Great creators with wide brows of calm, The massive barrier-breakers of the world, Laborers in the quarries of the gods… The architects of immortality. Into the fallen human sphere they came, Faces that wore the Immortal’s glory still… Bodies made beautiful by the spirit’s light… Carrying the Dionysian cup of joy, Lips chanting an unknown anthem of the soul, Feet echoing in the corridors of Time. High priests of wisdom, sweetness, might, and bliss; Discoverers of beauty’s sunlit ways… Their tread one day shall change the suffering earth And justify the light on Nature’s face."
-Sri Aurobindo
"You didn't come into this world. You came out of it, like a wave from the ocean. You are not a stranger here."
-Alan Watts
