-----------------------------------------------COSMIC CLUB / KICK OUT THE 12'S / SKYLAX PARTY / HACIENDAZED / HOUSE THIS HOUSE / DISCO SUPREME are club nights in Paris run by promoter, dj, artist, label manager : HARDROCK STRIKER.Our nights are based on a mix of open minded people and a broad crossover of different styles of music. We started in 2005 under the name SKYLAX PARTY. As this was the ambition first of the main character of this event; artist, dj & producer : HARDROCK STRIKER. His goal was to bring some kind of fresh & new sounds in PARIS inspired by the whole cosmic & italo – disco scene that was happening in the 80’s (remember Baia Degli Angeli) as opposed to the massive clubs in town. Since then, our nights have grown and seen us move in and out of various places in Paris including Le triptyque (our nights mostly happen there), La Fleche D’or (where we have an extension of this through the SKYLAX RECORDS PARTIES), le Batofar (Kick Out The 12'S" and The Rex. We have always been lucky to have a dedicated crowd made up of a great mix of people of all origins.Djs such as Radioslave, Daniele Baldelli, Peter Hook (New Order), Arthur Baker, The Glimmers, Marco Passarani, I-F, Alden Tyrell, Beppe Loda, Loud E, Serge (Clone), Dexter, Chateau Flight, Riton, Idjut Boys, Freeform 5, Steve Kotey, Marco Passarani, Maurice Fulton, Lasermagnetic, Justin Robertson, Spencer Parker, Toby Tobias, Trickski, Legowelt, Dave Haslam, Pete Herbert, Dj Assault, Gilb'r, In Flagranti, Romain BNO, Outlines, Nick V, Siskid, St - Remy, Alexis Le tan, Ygal (Versatile), Pilooski, Cosmo Vitelli, Jef K, Erik Rug, Fafa Monteco I Cube, Midnight Mike, just to name a few :) have paid a visit behind the decks. Our resident dj is HARDROCK STRIKER. We like good music in all genres and our guests are always encouraged to move from one style to another during the night. Whether it be italo, cosmic, house, disco, hiphop, electro-funk, Rock, broken beat or club classics, the most important part of it all is to keep the floor moving and the crowd as happy as possible. We are based in Paris, but we hope to see or hear from you one day if you're in town.STAY COSMIC !!!

"At one time, not for so long - it was before DFA or 2 Many DJ' S: a prehistory - where rock'n'roll and electro were scorned or been unaware of, the US-Parisian label Skylax was among the first to organize one-eyed, torrid and fertile appointments between the two (false) enemy brothers. Here, the darkest and mad rock'n'roll (of Stooges with Joy Division) rediscovered the vice and the euphoria of the dance-floor, on 12 inches which have since been available around the world - in crazy, dirty & filthy dj bags. It is precisely a handle of those 12 inches which the label of Hardrock Striker
compiles today, under a title paying homage to Detroit: with the MC5, of course, for this bad and dirty electricity; but also with the pioneers of techno, for their sensual brutality, their noisy minimalism. It is Detroit, it could have been Madchester, Chicago or the New York of Studio 54 (Tony Sylvester), so much these robot-like 12 inches feel the indecent assault, sweat, the carefree hedonism. Because at Skylax, Protools finish in stroke, synthesizers makes Larsen, the beatbox do solos: behind the machines, there are some men, and they are definitely more rock' roll than the ones in Doherty/Strokes disguise. One does not call a track without impunity "Metallika" an incredible lust section, as one does not divert without a very sure taste the memorable Disco Circus of Martin Circus - who invented thirty years ago LCD Soundsystem." /// Les Inrockuptibles ///

----------------------------SKYLAX 104 /// HARDROCK STRIKER "CONTROL" : "A new text of Joy Division found on an acid dancefloor. Parisian Hardrock Striker is mad. The kind of archaeologist with maniaco-obsessive tendency able to dig very deep to unearth opposite B - and to republish fissa on its labels Skylax or Parisonic - some buried pearls of house, funk or electro. It was known that the basements of Detroit or Chicago did not have any secrecy for him, one realizes that he also kowns perfectly the subsoils of Manchester, from where he took this new text that Ian Curtis had not had the time to record with Joy Division. Control will be besides the title of the movie, in preparation, devoted to the life of the epileptic singer. For this turbulent 12 inch, the manias and obsessions (rock'n'roll and electro primitive) of Hardrock Striker are interfered manner cocasse for the setting in its of this text: cavernous and angular, the singing is opposed here by a ribald groove , homage hardly disguised to the Madchester orgy, think about New Order or A Guy Called Gerald. Remixes, are given the responsability to add to confusion, proposing to Ian Curtis one bubbling bath of acid (nuts of Music For Freaks) or one transfered with Studio 54 of new Yorkean prehistory, blessed time where rock'n'roll and disco music dreamed to make children (revellers of In Flagranti). Control? This creature, monstrous and authoritative, already monopolized the dancefloor, uncontrollable. As also Curtis sang: "She' S lost control againS" Les Inrockuptibles /// November 2005 /// Jean Daniel Beauvallet--------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------SKYLAX 106 /// "M & G" (A1 - HARDROCK STRIKER KOSMIC DUB A2 - M & G "Boogie tonight" B1 - HARDROCK STRIKER HI - NRG MIX B2 - M & G "When i let you down") : "Nice shot from the young US/French label SKYLAX which already gave us some great re-issue of all time classics such as Jungle wonz or Mr Fingers, remixed respectively by Danny Krivit or Kiki. This time, Hardrock Striker, its founder brings back and remixes two fantastic and forgotten italo-disco tracks from 1986, who summarizes with wonder all the synthetic euphoria and the pop unconcern of this time."
