Music:

This is the 80s for ya: Class, Style, Flair, Panache... Boogie par excellence: "Class Style" by LINDA LEWIS. Absolute boogie perfection. MIDNIGHT EXPRESS "Danger Zone". This groove is bad... I love everything about this song: the incredible lead vocal, the backings, the whole production sound... Sung by the amazing CURTIS HAIRSTON, who unfortunately passed away from diabetes in 1996. The song is "I Want Your Lovin' (Just A Little)" from 1985. No one in this video will be remembered for fancy dance moves but the music is first grade italo boogie: KANO's "Can't Hold Back (Your Loving)". JOHN ROCCA & PETER MAAS were the nucleus of 70s/80s funk formation FREEEZ. They started as a superb jazz-funk band from London but turned into the forerunners of the electrofunk sound in the early 80s. Clip is from "Pop Goes My Love", a breakdance fav at the time. D TRAIN "Tryin' To Get Over" KILLERRRRRR BOOGIE. Just the best. HUBERT EAVES III is off the hook on synths and piano. CHRISTINE BLEAKLEY of BBC's The One Show MMMMMMM......

Movies:

Wild Style, Style Wars, Ed Wood, 25th Hour, Heat, The Yards ...

Columbo, Blackadder Goes Forth ..."You Killed My Speckled Jim? You Flanders Pigeon Murderer!!!"... Hilarious.
