Hello and welcome...
Pete's musical career began at some point whilst at college in the south of England in 1991 djing alongside Mat Anthony and Simon Lee ('cook extrodinaire' and eventuale Faze Actionist)..amoungst others...
..after realising 'that was going nowhere' in 1993 he moved back to his native London to co-run Daddy Kools the 'notorious' Reggae shop in Soho and quite quickly learnt how not to run a record shop and from that experience opened his own.... the infamous Atlas Records in 1995 with a view to offering up the more eclectic and leftfield club music that was around at that time...
...when it came good, Atlas served up many of the worlds more eclectic djs, muso's and producers with fine vinyl platters and inthat time he himself began to work up a bit of a reputation playing in London and around Europe with his balearic groove-based-eclectic tackle(haa!) with residencies @ 'Cake And Milk' Sunday Parties on the Batofar( Paris) Dusted @ Blue Note London, Far East with Gilles Peterson @ The Scala and Fabric, Perverted Science@ 333, Larger Than Life @ Herbal, London...amongat otherzzz
Since those heady days he has since guested all over the place playing alongsides all sorts from Carl Craig, The Glimmers, Andrew Weatherall, Harvey, Maurice Fulton, Rub n Tug, Todd Terje, Kenny Hawkes,Tim Paris, Geoffroy, Aril Brikka, Lindstrom, Henrik Shwarz....
.......and for for labels such as : Eskimo, Dialect, Hi-Phen, Compost, Sonar Kollectiv, Stereo Deluxe, Jazid, Nuphonic , Sunday Best, ....
.......and at clubs including:Mondos, Goa, Weekender, La Paloma, Fonfone (Spain), Capital, Dali's, Culture Club, Dirty Dancing(Belgium), The Rex, Le scene, Neauvoau Casino (France) Rootdown, Into Something, Dieregistratur (Germany) , Kerma, (Finland), Amnesia, Cafe de Mar (Ibiza), Maffia (Regia Emilia Italy), Miereai (Vienna Austria) , Urban Sound (Portugal), TLV (Israel), Café West Pacific, Milkveg (Holland) .........
......and many festivals including:
Tribal Gathering,Exit (Serbia), Glade, Vice, LoveBox, Essential Festival London, Big Chill, Electronica Festival Copenhagan, Popcom and MTV Snowboarding Championships,Switzerland and Chamonix as well as dj tours including:Pressure Drop,Cuica, West Coast of America.More recently Pete has concentrated equally on production work as well as djing and has had many releases out as Reverso 68 and Frontera (alongside Balearic don dj Phil Mison), Bakazou, LSB (with babyg ), Optimus, Cuica, as well as much remix duty (see discography) as well as running his own imprint Specialist Interest Recordings and continues to dj extensively around the globe... Currently playing regularly in his home turf in East London for Lasermagnetic as well as regular slots at the Player, Fabric, 333, Nodisko, Sosho, Capital, Weekend Club, Mondos, Madrid, Fonfone....
