The Further

It was over before it began

About Me

A FAIRY TALE
(as in mostly fictional)
Are you sitting comfortably ?
Then I'll begin.
Once upon a time....
Long before sex, lies and videotape - rumours abounded about this legendary garage / psych band The Further. A four piece band, or a band in four pieces, who danced with destiny before the heavy hand of fate stepped in and called time on all of their tomfoolery.
Tales of winning talent contests, a deal with Island Records gone horribly wrong - a never to be single - long forgotten gigs - just simply long forgotten.
The brief snapshots on this page offer glimpses of another life that might have been. However all was not lost and you can sample Steve's current work at:

An unplugged version of 'On Your Own' - tarted up version on the new album Bedrock. For full details email Steve on [email protected]
A mimed version of the then work in progress, 'Sense' - the finished track can be found on Bedrock. About two thirds of the way through there is a problem with the light and the picture is replaced with adverts for my page and the new album - but stay tuned because there's a nice instrumental coda.
