About Me

Hello, I'm Aylon, (A.Ewing). It's Aylon E for performing purposes. I've been writing songs for a long time, a veteran singer/songwriter/bassist with origins in Rock Ferry. I've gigged extensively in my time (and played with members of Half Man Half Biscuit in my band during the early 1980s, and then undertook a period of stage drama in the mid 80s before gigging again with theatrical friend Bob Johnson in the late 1980s, which included gospel blues songs) and recorded many demos with 200 songs written, which continue to the present time. I also did a great deal of stage drama during the 1980s. Additionally, I also appeared as a poet on a Channel 4 show hosted by Keith Allen in 1982. In the 1990s, I veered away towards academic study with BA (Hons) English and Theology together with MSc Applied Psychology and Cert HE Media Studies, although I stayed in touch with the artistic life having also had short stories and poems published in this decade under my birth name , together with church songs. I returned to the musical fray in the latest century. The current batch of songs on this page consist of demos recorded at Fynk Tank Recording Studios with drum engineering, additional keyboard and guitars by Paul Robotham, with overdubs added later at home, and then there are home recording demos. These are designed to show the potential of the songs rather than being finished products. I have been blessed to have an understanding artistic family - (wife Jan, who supports my work in so many ways, son Azz and daughter Louise). I continue to write plays, poetry and stories, including an e-book entitled "Deano Jones & The Obscure Rogues" with music included here, a story about Shakespearian potatoes and a Shakespearian comedy.Much Love to every person who visits this page, Aylon
