Giulia Villari was born in Rome on March 27th 1983.
Ever since her early childhood, she displays a considerable sensitivity for music and poetry.
At the age of fifteen, she undertakes formal vocal and guitar training. After two years, she opts to specialize in jazz.
She soon begins singing with many bands, ranging across the entire musical spectrum: classical music, jazz, bossa nova, rock.
However, it is only when she begins to compose her own songs that her passion for music and poetry fully emerges and fuses.
Riccardo Tesio, the guitarist of one of the most popular bands in the Italian rock scene, MK, is the first person to notice her talent and encourage her to continue after listening to her first demo in the summer of 2004.
Giulia takes full advantage of the opportunity to interact with MK and further develop her abilities.
In January 2005, she contributes the second voice to the single Bellezza, extracted from "Bianco Sporco" (Virgin), the seventh album released by the band. This is only the second time, following their international collaboration with Skin, that a woman performs with MK!
It is on this occasion that she meets Rob Ellis (the producer behind artist such as PJ Harvey, Charlotte Hatherley, and many others), with whom she establishes a prolific artistic dialogue and exchange of views.
In July 2005, Giulia forms her band, creating the opportunity to perform in public and further nurture her talent.
In January 2007, she is ready to concretize her collaboration with Rob Ellis, the producer of Giulia's new EP, recorded and produced by Giulia and Red House Recordings, under the supervision of David Lenci at the mixer.

Già all’età di quindici anni comincia a studiare canto e chitarra, scegliendo dopo due soli anni la specializzazione in jazz. Inizia presto a cantare in diverse formazioni muovendosi attraverso molti generi musicali, ma è solo quando comincia a scrivere le sue proprie canzoni che la sua passione per la musica si realizza davvero.
Il primo ad accorgersi delle sue capacità e ad incoraggiarla a continuare è Riccardo Tesio, chitarrista di uno dei gruppi più apprezzati della scena rock italiana, i Marlene Kuntz, il quale aveva ascoltato il primo demo di Giulia nell’estate 2004. Con i Marlene, Giulia ha l’opportunità di confrontarsi spesso e crescere. Nel Gennaio 2005 partecipa come seconda voce al singolo BELLEZZA, tratto da “Bianco sporco†(Virgin), sesto album della band di Cuneo.
Nel Gennaio 2007 Giulia conclude il suo primo lavoro, “The Diverâ€, registrato presso gli studi Red House Recordings di Senigallia (www.redhouserecordings.com) e prodotto da Rob Ellis (www.robellis.net), già produttore e batterista per artisti come Pj Harvey, Marianne Faithfull, Placebo, Marlene Kuntz, Charlotte Hatherley e molti altri.
Con Rob, Giulia ha anche registrato a febbraio 2007 una versione di THIS IS THE DAY di Matt Johnson, per un album di cover dei The The di prossima uscita internazionale.
Dopo questa importante collaborazione, Giulia ha intensificato la sua attività live, partecipando a manifestazioni come la Festa de L'Unità a Roma e suonando nei più importanti locali di Roma (Circolo degli Artisti, Lian Club, Locanda Atlantide, Sinister Noise, Linux Club...).
È stata spesso invitata come ospite di trasmissioni radiofoniche, tra cui Radio Kiss Kiss Network (Good Fellas di Antonio Gerardi), Radio Città Aperta, Radio 2 Rai (Versione Beta) e, soprattutto, Radio 1 Rai per la trasmissione "Demo", dei due acchiappatalenti Renato Marengo e Michael Pergolani, che le hanno dedicato un intero speciale andato in onda il 30 Novembre 2007 (www.radio.rai.it/radio1/demo).
Da Gennaio 2008 Giulia insegna canto jazz a Roma presso la scuola di musica "Quartier Generale" (www.musicalschool.it).
