Soulhound-Sassin' Yo Mama Since 2003

About Me

Zesty groovesters Soulhound. Purveyors of heart pounding funk, soul and sweaty grooves in Atlanta. Music to shake your Tic-Tacs to.

Soulhound has been described as part James Brown funk, part Stevie Wonder soul, with the lyrical voice of Robert Bradley, all thrown in with some groovin' bass lines and powerful guitars. Clearly Soulhound are inspired disciples of the guitar-driven R&B, greasy Funk, jazzy Boogaloo and Soul of the late sixties and seventies. Their influences range from the Meters, Tower of Power and Parliament/Funkadelic to Miles Davis, Medeski Martin and Wood and Steely Dan.

Soulhound has played all over Georgia and has shared the stage with both national and regionally touring groups like The Legendary JC’s, RAQ, Tinsley Ellis, Ancient Harmony, Cadillac Jones, Donna Hopkins Band, Yo Mamas Big Fat Booty Band and Mile 8.

Look for their first CD out soon.

Nominated Atlanta's top local band 2006 by the Atlanta Journal Constitution & Access Atlanta Winners of the 2004 Terrapin Beer Company’s “Rye Pale Ale Battle of the Bands”
