In her current sculptural work she creates hybrid creatures born of collective unconsciousness. The found & occasionally gifted objects arrive with their own set of rules & experience which sensed initially through patina is allowed growth within a dream/nightmare state, where the essence of the objects inhabit a somewhat surreal dystopian space. Through polluted eyes she attempts to interpret & realise this esoteric state.
Through performance & intervention she take this a pigeon step further, often teetering on the absurd.

'PHOTOGRAPHIC ARCHIVAL SPECIMENS'
FROM 'THE ARCHIVE OF ABANDONMENT'.
my work is based primarily in and around abandoned homes in east london. I work along side a building maintenance company who clear and clean council properties. the former tenants have moved for varying reasons. At times the reasoning is obvious, Death due to drug or alcohol addiction, old age, or the move from high rise housing to make way for low level homes. Invariably I hear tales from neighbours that are keen to tell their stories, or just talk to someone generally. I try to piece together a picture of the former inhabitants lives though what they've left behind. whether it be though details of objects, the surrounding environment, the view from a window, the stories told or what I sense when I explore the abandoned space. It's of paramount importance to my work, that the objects are neither moved or tweeked in anyway, so the images that I document, are the otherwise unknown work of the former tenants...
more often than not the properties are without electricity and boarded up, and the contractors work at lightening pace, not the most ideal conditions with which to work, but I now see this as an integral part of my practice, intensifying my race against time to preserve the essence of the past
