Friday 29th February 2008
Whitechapel Art Gallery
Oh yes …….the lunatics are taking over the Whitechapel Art Gallery on the 29th Feb 2008…...
the date that slides off the calender only emerging every 4 years to grace us with a night
out of time…
so its only fitting that this night should pay homage to times when sanity slips off the radar
and the full moon teases the minds of mortals to acts of delirium & strangeness……Lunacy.

The Red Velvet Curtain Club presents
:PRESTALGIA
a night of pre-mourning the loss of something before it has departed this reality
to enter the nostalgic realm of the past.
Nights of performance, art, music, improvisation, stuff & happenings, vagabonds and butterflies…
bravo to all the amazing artistes who unveiled their work, the bad boy balaclava wearing
weather underground, the cape wearing, uv painted wonder that is jim’ll’s brain
& not forgetting the outstanding movement improbable who’s aburdist sound never
fails to inspire & delight.
the next Prestalgia is 'love letters' (or the Post Office but we decided that love letters
sounds sexier & conjures up more alluring & inspiring romantic images than queuing
in dingy surroundings to collect that underpaid parcel that turns out to be junk mail...
arousing?...mmm....no ...didnt think so..)
so love letters it is...
the suspense of peeling open the envelope delicately scented with cheap perfume,
the aroma tingling our senses in apprehension of the words from the loved other
spilling out with a sigh...ah...
