About Me

Ello.
I'm a London based performer and do-er of stuff.
Like any other sensible, self obsessed person, I have a website. This is it:
I'm just about to start properly fart arsing about in my own cabaret act. My character's Lois of the Lane - a smiley silent comedy girl with a penchant for a bit of ridiculousness. A whole heap of a load more on all of this soon...
Over the past few years I seem to have got myself mixed up with these misfits who occasionally whisk me away, put me in a clown costume and make me do things. (All in the best possible taste.) We did Glasto, Latitude and the Edinburgh Fringe this summer with the horrible happening that is The Gawkagogo Freakshow...
Sometimes I flex my writing muscle in a vigorous fashion. My first solo show Glitch was the result of one of these flexing episodes:
All being well, it's going to be on again at some point this year. Then it'll be time for new ventures. Rah.
Other stuff:
I spend far too much time sat in front of a computer
I seem to need a ridiculous amount of sleep
I'm terrible at small talk
I'm a lover of cheese and beards (not at the same time perhaps)
andI edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

music, perrrforming, not doing things by halves, people, meeting new people, learning new things, keeping my eyes and my mind open, trying to keep a level head, your star sign, making you laugh, drawing, singing, dancin, sitting in the back seat of a car with music on loud watching the world go by, imagery and use of space, the bigger picture, the teeny picture, ridiculousness, not being wanky, music, playing my geetar, dreaming, having flying dreams, cats and other creatures, unsuitable boys, finding a room where I can put a song on stoopidly loud and sing along to it at the top of my voice, coincidence, synchronicity, accents, music, cheese

I'd like to meet:

Cheese makers/suppliers/manufacturers/purveyors

People who want to pay my rent

Cabaret/Comedy/Variety Night Organisers

Other people

Music:

I WANT MORE CDS!!

Anyone fancy taking me out on a credit card destroying shopping spree...?

Interesting list of bands:
Air, Alice in Chains, The Baghdaddies, The Beatles, Beck, Ben Folds, Ben Folds Five, Big band swing stuff (old and not so old - not really a Frank fan tho...), Bjork, Blind Melon, Jeff Buckley, Cake, Cardigans, Chris Cornell, The Cure, David Devant and his Spirit Wife, Dresden Dolls, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, Bob Dylan, Eels, ELO, Emiliana Torrini, England and the April, Fear of Pop, PJ Harvey, Headswim, Herbalizer, Incubus, Jack Johnson, Keziah Jones, Jurassic 5, Lamb, John Martyn, Merz, Joni Mitchell, Moloko, Mr Scruff, Nightmares on Wax, NIN, Pearl Jam, Madeleine Peyroux, Phoenix, The Police, Portishead, Presidents of The United States of America, Prince, Queen, Queens of the Stone Age, Rachmaninov (mainly a Romantic Composer girl), Radiohead, Red Snapper, Reef, Smashing Pumpkins, Soul Coughing, Soundgarden, Spin Doctors, Steely Dan, Supergrass, Supertramp, Livingston Taylor, Ugly Kid Joe, The Urban Voodoo Machine, The Waifs, Tom Waits, Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder, "Wierd Al" Yankovic

Movies:

I really do like a good film. Not entirely sure what constitutes a good film in my eyes, but, on the other hand, I know what I like. Wish I managed to watch more more often...

Television:

My all time favourite TV show has to be Northern Exposure. I hardly ever watch the telly nowadays. I'm generally busying myself with something, wasting my life away on the internet or sleeping.

Books:

At the moment I'm attacking this: The Search for Superstrings, Symmetry, and the Theory of Everything .
I have been for quite a while in fact. God only knows why.

I've also just started this: Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell .

Favourite reads when a smaller kid: Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles, Blade of the Poisoner + Master of Fiends, The Lives of Christopher Chant

and more recently:

Heroes:

The man who is Super

My Blog

OK. THAT'S IT.

I demand to be permanently incarcerated in the room or rooms that hold Mark Lamarr's music collection. It simply can't be any other way. If someone wouldn't mind slipping a bit of cheese und...
