About Me

LEBANONS
Drum infused noise cretins. Bursts of noise, dirgey riffs, triple drum chaos, screaming, falling over, broken instruments, flatpack furniture and East philly Gang links. Recognise.
Lebanons have been compared to everything from Sonic Youth to Boris to Shipping News to Action Beat to Wives to Rodan to Lightning Bolt to Charlottefield and beyond.
1 year as a band, 2 tours, a recording session at BBC Maida Vale, lots of shows, plenty of hearing loss, 2 amps blown, a smashed drum kit, 4 cracked cymbals, 1 bass snapped in half, 1 back injury, 1 smashed up pair of toes, blood lost and countless strings and drum sticks broken...
Crikey.

NEWS
We're back from tour! Huzzah!
All in all a good trip. Some great shows, great bands and great people.
Nothing to report other than there's a few shows coming up that'll be super swish, so come along if you can. The one this Sunday at the forum is Matt from ETTA's last show with the band before he moves to Sweden, so please come along and rock out to his tribal skins smashing.
Also, the day after the Forum (the 15th) the '1:18' compilation is coming out on Toy Soldier. It features our song 'One Arm' which you cant get anywhere else, as well as tonnes of other great bands and some awesome Jurgensen hands screen printed artwork! Go over to Toy Soldier Records' page and snap up a copy now... their in our top friends...
We'll be recording two tracks for our split 7" (released late 2008 on TSR, HS! & Unlabel) with Ben from Etta very soon. The songs will most likely be 'The Things That Daddies Do' and 'Inner City Chalet'. We'll also be recording for our untitled CDEP and for some compilations at some point or another this year... Crackin.
Over and out.

"Lebanons cranked things up a gear, with a blistering first song which witnessed frenetic playing and vocal delivery from Michael Miles. The stage set up with the band facing inwards could have lead to an insular performance were it not for the shear vitality of the music. Their second song ‘I’m a little bit 1789’ had a calculated sinister edge to it with the repeated lyrics “how many times must I tell you?” More than fulfilling the distortion requirement of the evening and playing at break-neck speeds, they soared through their set finishing with ‘One arm’; a curiously eclectic, yet compelling song." Stoke Sounds Magazine
"...urgent, noisy, angular punk; all crashing guitars, yelled vocals and blasts of noise." Expanding Sea
