Strike A Chord - Recording Studio

Ooooh... Fireworks!!

About Me

As you can probably guess Sound Engineering is my thing. It doesn't matter if it's Classical or Classic Rock, my philosophy is "You play it, I'll record it". Having previously worked in live recording with local artists such as De Sade, Sub-Rosa, Joseph Macwan & Mellow Baku, I've now set up a private studio. Equipment used is industry standard... with a twist...
And the twist is there's no guitar amps, no cabs, no acoustic drum kit, and as few microphones as possible.
How? Checkout the kit list...
Roland V Drums: Best virtual drums on the market. Drummers don't be fooled. These pads don't sound like the old Simmons kits of the 80's (unless you want them to). They play and sound like the real thing!
Line 6 Pod XT: Models every classic guitar amp, cab & FX box you can think of. Also mimics different mics & positions. Can be controlled by the FBV Express using the Wah/Volume pedal or use it to change sounds/FX mid song with the stomp switches.
Line 6 Bass Pod XT: Same as the Pod XT but geared towards those deeper tones.
Line 6 Pod 2.0: Two guitarists in your band? No problem. The classic that started it all still rocks! Again, sounds can be switched with the FB4 .
Roland Keyboard: Need to layer your tracks with synths, strings or keys? No problem with onboards sounds & soft synths galore.
Microphones include a condenser mic by Audio-Technica and the classic Shure SM58 both for vocals & 2 sE1a's for miking up acoustic instruments. As you can see acoustic duos are catered for also, and welcomed!
Guitars (2 electric, bass, electro acoustic) & leads can be provided if required.
Recording is done onto a PC running Cubase and all monitoring while recording is done on headphones.
If you want to use the studio please contact me. The rates are good & I can record for a few days or just a few hours, whichever you prefer.
However if you can't live without the feel of real skin under your stick (ooh-err!) and like to turn your amp up to 11 (and who doesn't) then I heartily recomend
Slicktone Studios .
I also recommend these for insuring Recording Gear/Instruments/Yourself!
