About Me

----------
After 7 years of blood soaked, drug fueled, midget beating heavy metal fun-time happy hours, it seems that all good things come to an end.
The sun has set on the days of Phat Jerusalem.
We'd like to thank everyone! and everything! for all the help, love and support throughout the many ups and downs of this rather bright and interesting part of the ride. All the bands that have helped us, and the venues that have banned us, all the fans who stood by us, and all the moshers that wrecked stuff. The councilors that hated us, the girls who got naked for us, the equipment that broke on us, and the supporters who resorted to violence in our name. We love you all!
So, to pissing people off and getting drunk and rowdy, All in the name of chaos! Cheers to drugs, tits and rock and roll!
We thank you all!
----------
Born in the Late of 2000 in the midland hole that is Earl Shilton PHAT JERUSALEM had the simple aim of creating heavy as fuck metal to start pits and get wrecked to.
Despite a lack of funds, Phat Jerusalem almost single handedly kick started the south Leicestershire metal scene. Ambitious to get out there in whatever possible way and with the help of loyal and supportive friends, Fans and Family, Phat Jerusalem gathered other like minded soul’s to bring metal to an area without a scene. Performing in whatever gloomy hall and dingy back room bar they could find eventually resulted in being rewarded with slots at Bloodstock and The Bulldog bash, and playing with some of the UK's finest underground bands such as Speed Theory, I-DEF-I, Labrat, and Desecration and Black River Project.
Using home made materials Phat Jerusalem recorded, mixed and produced all of their music independently from within the confines of a beer soaked practice room and smoke filled bedrooms, climaxing with the release of the newest material. Now they are preparing themselves for the next chapter of a journey with no sure end.
As their music progressed, Phat Jerusalem sent a message of social, personal and political frustration from the stand point of the silent majority. Angered and disappointed at the world at large and at the apathy of the many, they established a simple but deafening premise to those who would listen.
“Question everything, think for yourself and Take what is yours”

"Destined for mosh-pit-mayhem - will strike a note with metal fans all around. If you like your music loud, look no further."

Virtual-Festivals.com:

"Like a whirlwind that has picked up Korn, Slipknot and Slayer and deposited the resultant fury into the eye of the storm"

I will be heard.com:

"Chaotic. Thrash metal with elements of things more experimental but with everything at manic pace"

Devolution Magazine:

"Phat Jerusalem's music was tight and clear cut and made for a mind-bending show. An invigorating change."

Rocksomething.com:

"If a bunch of unruly drunkards were ever to get together and record the most bone-snappingly brutal collection of uncouth metal, then this would be the result."

JensMetalPage.com:

"Definitely a unique sound here. Something I would hear at CBGB’s during the punk area of the 70’s-80’s with a mix of the 00’s era as well."
