A little rebellion now and then is a good thing.

About Me

Self publishing? Let me design your cover!
I believe you can judge a book by its cover. Many times self-published books (or even books by small, independent publishers) have that cheap, schlocky look. Which puts up a red flag to booksellers and readers, who are fearful that the writing inside may be just as amateurish.
I have over 20 years experience as a graphic designer, and as a self-published author myself, I know the importance of not only having a good cover, but also of keeping costs low. Therefore, I offer very reasonable rates. For more information, and samples of my work, please visit:

Rave review for INTO THE SUNSET
Donna George Storey, author of Amorous Woman , has reviewed Into the Sunset.
"Don Capone’s Into the Sunset is entertaining comedy at its best. Even the madcap premise makes you laugh."
"Reading as a writer—and I always do—I admired Capone’s plot, which is Chekhovian in its design. Each puzzle piece fits together perfectly by the novel’s end."

When characters meet every roll of the dice with grit, humor and determination, is it enough to change the stakes? WHEN a thirty year-old bachelor disguises himself as an old man to live in The Sunset, a retirement community, will everything go as smoothly as planned? Of course not! His elderly love interest becomes suspicious of his under-cover-of-darkness-only lovemaking, his neighbor wants to experiment with Viagra®, the head of security is more interested in extortion than security, and the woman who runs the community may be on to his scheme. Can Wayne survive old age? INTO THE SUNSET is Donald Capone's first novel.Capone's stories have appeared in Edgar Literary Magazine, Word Riot, and Thieves Jargon, as well as the anthologies See You Next Tuesday and Rebellion: New Voices of Fiction. What is Rebel Press rebelling against?Against the big publishing houses who decide what we read. Against the big houses who determine their lists based on the other big houses’ lists. Against trends and fads.
Against homogenization.
Rebel Press is proud to present alternatives to the safe and familiar names put forth by the major publishers. We offer fiction that is off the beaten path, by authors who write for art’s sake, for the love of the craft, authors who aren’t afraid to extend the boundaries of the short story.
You, the reader, still have a choice. Join the rebellion.
