I play the bass!

About Me

Hello there!
I am a professional musician currently living in Toronto, Canada and have have been playing the bass guitar for quite a while now. I spend a lot of my time touring in bands in Canada, USA and Europe and doing recording sessions in Toronto.
Here is a little bit of history. I started out with the bass in band class in high school, (only because I could hold it properly) and shortly there after I ended up in a garage jammin' to some Van Halen, Kiss and Ozzy tunes with some "stoners". I then went on to play with a lot of bar bands!
I attended Musicians Institute (MIT) in Hollywood, California, and was able to study, and jam with some excellent instructors, bassist and musicians!
I stayed in LA for about another 8 years to do the "Hollywood Thang" and recorded and performed all over SoCal with my prog-metal band 'Ritual Piston' and many blues and R&B bands including 'The Howlin Muddy Kings' and 'Jimmy O & Code Blue' . I also toured all of the US and Europe with the East LA roots rockers, 'The Blazers' .
Currently, I write and perform internationally with Canadian guitar great Tony Springer in 'Wild T & the Spirit', and perform nationally in a Jimi Hendrix tribute show called 'Fire'. I also keep busy in the Toronto area with singer-songwriters, pub, top 40 gigs and recording sessions.
I am mainly playing my Peavey Cirrus 5, and my Warwick Corvette 6. These two basses can pretty much cover it all with me for the stage and studio. But, I also have a fretless Fernandes 5 and Gibson Ripper G-3.....which get to see some action when there is a call for fretless and old school!. In Canada & the US I am touring with my SWR rig, which consists of my beloved SM-400 head, the powerful SM-900 head, and 2 Goliath 4x10 cabinets. I've had this rig for 15 years, and it kicks ass! In Europe, I have been using the new Warwick gear. A X-treme 10.1 bass head with 1 or 2 4x10 cabinets. It sounds really nice and loud! In the studio I mainly plug in direct, but sometimes go through my Sadowsky preamp.
