About Me

Hello there!
I am a professional musician currently living in Toronto, Canada and have have been playing the bass guitar for quite a while now. I spend a lot of my time touring in bands in Canada, USA and Europe and doing recording sessions in Toronto.
Here is a little bit of history. I started out with the bass in band class in high school, and shortly there after I ended up in a garage jammin' to some Van Halen, Kiss and Ozzy tunes. I then went on to play with a lot of bar bands!
I attended Musicians Institute (MIT) in Hollywood, California, and was able to study, and jam with some excellent instructors, bassist and musicians!
I stayed in LA for about another 8 years to do the "Hollywood Thang" and recorded and performed all over California and the southwest with my prog-metal band 'Ritual Piston' and many blues and R&B bands including 'The Howlin Muddy Kings' and 'Jimmy O & Code Blue' . I also toured all over the US and Europe with the East LA roots rockers, 'The Blazers' .
Currently I write and perform internationally with my own band 'Wild T & the Spirit' & I am the touring bassist with bluesman 'Jason Buie' . I also keep busy doing recording sessions, and as a sideman in many various musical situations.
I am mainly playing my Peavey Cirrus 5, and my Warwick Corvette 6. These two basses can pretty much cover it all with me for the stage and studio. But, I also have a '72 Fender Jazz, a fretless Fernandes 5 and Gibson Ripper G-3.....which get to see some action when there is a call for fretless and old school!. In Canada & the US I am touring with my SWR rig, which consists of a SM-400 head, SM-900 head, and 2 Goliath 4x10 cabinets. I've had this rig for 15 years, and it kicks ass! In Europe, I have been using the new Peavey gear. A Tour 700 bass head with 1 or 2 Tour 410 4x10 cabinets. It sounds really nice and loud! In the studio I mainly plug in direct, but sometimes go through my Sadowsky preamp.

Influences: There are a lot of great bands and bassist in the world. I have been fan of rock, blues, jazz, funk, soul, heavy metal, R&B and reggae over the years.
Sounds Like: It all depends on the band, tour or the session I am involved with. My personal style is, solid and aggressive. My tone is tight, with big low-end, low mids puching through, and a bit of sizzle of top end. My main touring and recording basses are a Warwick Corvette 6, a Fernandes frettless 5 and a Peavey Cirrus 5. My rig is all SWR and includes, SM-900 & 400 heads, 2-SWR Goliath 4x10 cabinets.
