About Me

When I'm not battling in my daily vendetta with a cruel and sadistic cosmos, I'm breathing music of one kind or another most of the time - my headphones may have to be surgically removed one day. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............Before NEU GESTALT I had already been making various kinds of hybrid electronica for very many years - mixing techno, blip-hop, drum and bass, IDM, and chill. I began making electronic music as part of a duo called SEPTEMBER'S ROOM - which started in the very distant past as a guitar driven band. Our September's Room page is now here (June 07) and can be accessed from my top friends below, if anyone is interested. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............ I changed my working name from Gestalt to Neu Gestalt a couple of years ago to differentiate myself from a Japanese band (and a few others later) of the same name. (Dear German speakers - I apologise - know that it should be Neue but I like the shape better and it's less likely to be replicated again) Most of my work 2006 and early 2007 was on remixes and i remixed 5 Depeche Mode tracks - if anyone wants to hear ((^_^). I helped my friend CLOUDBASE 301 put up a page (June 07)(also accessible from top friends below) and blackmailed him into including our collaboration track Toxicology on his page. NEU ZONDE, also linked from below, is for my louder material and other collaborations. BATTINA PYRE kindly used my music as a soundtrack to her alien entity encounters video on her page. I recently finished a remix of Use Your Imagination by the KOSMOS KOLLECTIF and was really pleased to be able to work with Jude Fitzgerald's vocal talents. I'll post it here a little later in the year. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............ As of now (12 October 08) I've finished a second version of ASA's "Fated Stars" (Ã…sa Seljestad is an outstanding vocalist IMVHO) which she wrote with the very talented PAUL CROAN. I'm just about to start work on another Asa track now. What started as a remix project has happily morphed into a very enjoyable collaboration with Paul and Asa. The first remix of Fated Stars will appear on Paul Croan's album, which is to be released before the end of 2008. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............ THE CD "ALTERED CARBON" WILL BE RELEASED ON 14 NOVEMBER (17 on Play) . It is on ALEX TRONIC RECORDS - ATRCD105 - and will be available on Amazon, Play etc ..etc...... (DISTRIBUTED BY ARABESQUE). ............................................................ ............................................................ ............ ALL TRACKS CAN BE DOWNLOADED NOW FROM A NUMBER OF SITES INCLUDING iTUNES USING THE BUTTON HERE:....................................................... ............................................................ .................I came to MySpace in early 2006 to take part in a NIN remix competition. My account was terminated later because someone didn't realise that it was an official competition and a copyright complaint made against me was upheld. Hard to bear after a lot of effort on the song and losing friends contacts. i don't hold a grudge though - it's understandable on a site of this size. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............I was regally dischuffed at the time though, but I took it pretty well - I only sulked for nine months - one for every nail. I'm back now though - and ready to make a hard go of it... ............................................................ ............................................................ ............ Many special thanks to EDIE1964 for endless encouragement and inspiration. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............ ...and I am forever touched by ANEMICINEMA'S beautiful track Les's Context which he dedicated to me. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............ ...thank you too to POSITIVE TRANSIT who have added two of my other tracks into one of the players on their page. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............

Life without buildings

With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, the decision to become an architect, made around1960, at age 4 or 5, was both slightly premature and ill-advised. I made the early career decision in order to hav...
