uthors/Books: H Murakami, Auster (New York Trilogy in particular), Borges, Marquez, Michael Marshall Smith - "the thing about cats is that they're always on the wrong side of a door", Sarte - a man who could describe black for pages, Philip K Dick - someone once said to me - if you only read one SF book in your life it should be UBIK - I tend to agree, Edie1964 (Remember me when you're famous, Becky), Woody Allen - "Why does man kill? - He kills for food - and not only food - frequently there must be a beverage.", Camus, Cocteau, Boll, Zola, Proust - a year of my life on that one, Mishima - (the samurai ethics of Hagakure can often come in handy - though the tip of wearing rouge to avoid the shame of loss of colour in front of one's enemies in case of death is not one that I've picked up on), Richard Morgan, author of the book "Altered Carbon" - perversely, it was his full-on sci-fi energy which inspired one of my quietest tracks. Balzac, Bataille, Doestoyevsky, Lautreamont, Houellebeck, Kundera, Ishiguro, Sacher-Masoch, Bill Drummond - I had been reading his wonderful book 45 for days before I noticed that in was 7 inches square - a true hero + Brian Eno - thanks for inspiring me to tidy up at difficult musical times ...

Sounds Like: Different neu gestalt albums, each have a different set of influences /////Quiet stuff here is sometimes closest to Murcof probably, touch of Sakamoto + Alva Noto, bit of Komet - dash of Somei Satoh /////
