A Story About How You Can't Fix Stupid:
Well, here goes the story. You Can't Fix Stupid started out as a concept idea that never really made it anywhere. Back in late April 2006 is when the idea came about. The original band members, Justin Brewton and Andrew Molay, were actually two members of the original Murrie Meadows line up and co-creators of the Murrie Meadows band along with David Hall (still in Murrie Meadows). The original line up of You Can't Fix Stupid was Justin Brewton (vocals, guitar, bass), Andrew Molay (vocals, guitar, bass, piano), and Tommy Seifert (drums/percussion). The band went through several different names: The 12-Gauges, Band of Hoes, Fatal Minds, Ripped Shirts, The Great Divide, and the most recent The Divisionz. You Can't Fix Stupid didn't get their current name till about late August 2006. By August 2006 the band’s line up changed with Elliot Herrin (now drummer for Murrie Meadows) becoming Tommy’s replacement. There was an album named "Lock N Loade" that was being worked on since May 2006 and supposed to be finished by February 2007, well, it never got finished because no one could stay committed to an idea. Then back in December 2006 two things happened the band completely switched their point of view on their music, and canned Elliot as their drummer. You Can't Fix Stupid, for a little while, became a comedy group instead of a hard rock. During this time Brendan Harlan stepped in, not as Elliot’s replacement, as someone just to have fun with and make fun of. Well, no one in the band could commit to that either, so in January of 2007 the band finally called it quits and dismembered. The line up before dismemberment was Justin (vocals, guitar, bass), Andrew (vocals, guitar, bass, piano), and Brendan (that one guy who’s always with the band for one reason or another). Now the band is starting back up with Andrew, Justin. You Can't Fix Stupid is currently working on finishing the album that has been in the making for nearly a year “Lock N Loadeâ€, but is now called "At World's End". Well, that’s our story and we’re sticking to it!
