After their praised debut „Natural Disharmonies“, Southern Germanys Death Metal three-piece Necroid returns with their massive second strike. Entitled “Nefarious Destinyâ€, the crew for ten songs celebrates a colossal, aggressive and above all stomping interpretation of contemporary Death Metal. Brought to life with the skilled help of producer Eike Freese (Dark Age, Negator) in the “Eikey Studios†in Hamburg, the album turned out to be a smasher of devastating power and crushing aggression, ready to wreck everything mercilessly.
Founded back in 2001, Necroid gained first attention with their initial demo “Into Darknessâ€. Numerous gigs in Germany and the neighbouring countries followed before the deadly trio took to their first album in 2005: Entitled “Natural Disharmonies†and mixed by Achim Köhler (Primal Fear, My Darkest Hate, Sacred Steel), the traditional Death Metal feast attained more than promising outcomes within the Death Metal underground. More than 50 positive reviews praised the band’s old school sound as well as the extremely professional design of the release. Nearly sold out now, Necroid took to playing as many gigs as possible in order to get the songs out to the crowd. In doing this, the three-piece was able to collect an impressive live history and shared stages with big names like Mystic Circle, Master, Disillusion, Debauchery, My Darkest Hate, Leng Tch’E and the likes. In 2007 the band was touring in Italy, Hungary and Slovakia. Necroid, however, are far from using these bands just for the sake of name dropping: Each gig bears witness of the untameable passion within the spirited act. Not least the tremendously high number of raving live reviews tells all there is to say.
