TREMORS is a name you have to keep in mind !!! The south german death metal band stands for
a strong live performance, powerful sound and a charismatic shouter who stirs up the crowd.
Hammering riffs, disturbing bass lines, straight drumming and not too much scary keyboard
passages combined with raging vocals from deep to high provide a concert experience you will
not forget. TREMORS can look back on a decade of experience in performing live on stage.
And this you will notice live on stage.
1994-1999 | Formation of TREMORS
The band was founded by Florian Kugler (guitar) and Ralf Gnirss (drums) in 1994. But the first
complete line up was established in the summer of 1996 when Sascha Isenmann (at that time bass)
and Christian Scherer (vox, synths) came to the band. In the early 1997 the line up was
completed by Markus Graeble (synths). Since then Christian was able to focus his work on the
vokills. From this time on the band was busy with writing new songs and planing the first live
activities.
1999-2007 | Changes in line up & enhancements
Because of Saschas change from bass to guitar Daniel Muehlherr (bass) joined the band in July
1999. In this constellation the first experiences in studio recording were made and the MCD
"Forlorn Souls" was recorded in only 5 days. The output was sold out after a very short time.
In April 2002 Daniel left the band after playing the bass on the subsequent full length album
"Recurrent Creation". A few months later a more than worthy replacement was found in Florin
Hartdegen.
In May 2004 the picture ep "Eternal Question" was released through the german underground label
Heavy Horses Records. On this release the recorded studio track "Eternal Question" can be found
as well as the live version of "From Below" which was never recorded before at this time.
Then in the end of 2005 there was a change in the line up again. To keep focus on his job as
drumtech Ralf finally left the band on his own wish. The new drummer to fill in the blank was
Marc "the shark" Weber. A very thight and powerfull drummer. The first practical test for him
was the production of the latest CD called "Klyst" which was released in July 2006.
Invigorated through these events TREMORS are on the way again to conquer the metal world with a
new strong cd and a new killer line up to rock as many stages as possible !!!
The greatest success in the band history so far was the performance on the Wacken Open Air Metal
Battle 2007. In this competition TREMORS could win the preliminary contest for their federal
state Baden-Wuerttemberg. With this the band was qualifed for the south german semi final in
Frankfurt, Germany. But unfortunatley Christian (vokills) had to undergo a rapid emergency
operation in his throat in April 2007. The healing phase took about 10-12 weeks. In this time
he had to prevent damage to his throat and voice and was not allowed and not able to sing and
perform. But the convalescence of his voice proceeded very good. The operation will not cause
any permanent damage. Even the last rehearsal was great. Christian almost has his old voice back
!!!
Now TREMORS keep focus on writing new songs to have the material for a new album as soon as
possible.

In the last decade TREMORS was very active in performing live on stage. The band played in many
clubs, on metal meetings and on festivals.
