MORPHOSYS was formed in Regensburg, Germany, on 01.01.2002 by Chris Caravello and Oliver Gordon.
Drummer Elvis completed the first line-up and over a longer period the band was temporarily supported by different bassists.
In July 2003, Elvis left the band in order to start the metal disco "Trafo". Karre took his place.
In December 2004 the official demo record was released, and shortly after, being a limited edition of 500 copies, it was sold out.
On 15.04.2005, Surtur became a member, occupying the still vacant position of bassist.
On 01.08.2005, the sampler "Rebirth The Metal Vol.2" was released, featuring MORPHOSYS' song "Ode To My Chainsaw".
In April 2006 the EP "Der Blutmond" was recorded with Matthias Wimmer at Dragonstudios in Munich.
Mastering and mixing took place at AEXXYS Art Studio Schwandorf by Stefan Fimmers, the bass player from NECROPHAGIST.
The record was released by MORPHOSYS themselves on 01.11.2006.
Press feedback was thoroughly positive, even euphoric.
In October drummer Karre informed the band that he was going to leave the band due to professional reasons, but he managed to stay until end of February 2007. His place was taken by Christoph, who officially became a band member in June 2007.
Along with Christoph, guitarist Marko joined the band in March 2007 and, therefore, also became an official member in June 2007.
In July 2007 the song "The Fall Of Heaven" appeared on the sampler of G.U.C. magazine no.23.
On 25.09.2007 bassist Surtur left the band.
