Dawn's End - Just Published

About Me

I'm an author and my debut novel, Dawn's End, a thriller about vampires in small town Texas, was published in May of 2008. It is currently available through iUniverse , Amazon , Tower Books, Barnes & Noble , and many other online booksellers. For more information about both the book and me, please visit my Website .
As for my day job, I'm an editorial supervisor at business information website Hoover's Online. Be sure to check out my Hoover's Blog , where I write primarily about the entertainment business.
I'm a lifelong Texan, happily married with two sons, and a little bit of a comic book/fanboy geek, but I'm not ashamed. That stuff rocks.
Dawn's End Synopsis
"Perched high in a tree like a vulture, Devon looks down on Glory, Texas, sparkling in the darkness. People below will soon feel the full force of this vampire’s rage.
Evil converges in Glory as three couples struggle with lives full of abuse and infidelity. Alex can’t come to grips with his girlfriend, Laura, leaving him. Jenny, a victim of domestic violence, must escape her husband, Ray. Syl and Dave’s downfall is becoming embroiled in their friends’ dramatic lives. Into this mix comes Rena, a beautiful and benevolent woman. Decades before, with a savage bite, Devon had turned her into his tormented companion. Distraught by how she must survive, Rena had fled his influence. And now Devon wants Rena to pay for betraying him and refusing to share eternal life with him.
When Alex meets Rena in the local roadhouse, a spiral of depravity begins to uncoil. Alex and Rena join forces in an attempt to kill Devon and save the lives of their friends. But Devon is bent on destroying whomever he can to get what he wants, and unfortunately for Alex, everyone he cares about is standing in the way.

My Interests

Horror and thriller novels, comics, science fiction, action movies, spy stories. Football and Basketball, mostly the pros, I'll watch March Madness and the BCS, though. The Los Angeles Lakers are the greatest team EVER!!

I'd like to meet:

Fellow thriller novelists, literary agents, comic book and sci fi fans, movie lovers, old acquaintances, and interesting newbies.

Music:

Nothin' but Rock and Roll! Soundgarden, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Van Halen, Foo Fighters, Rush, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Evanescence, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Allman Brothers, Linkin Park, Green Day, Rage Against the Machine, Queens of the Stone Age, and Nirvana. Some various pop music is pretty good Sarah Mclachlan, Sheryl Crow, and the like. Country sucks, Britney-ish and boy band stuff sucks, as does most Rap, 'cept for Snoop Dogg. Fo shizzle.

Movies:

All over the map, but a Top 10 list would have to include Pulp Fiction, Dazed and Confused, Rocky, A Few Good Men, Batman Begins, The Godfather trilogy, Mulholland Drive, Moulin Rouge, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and Blue Velvet. Other fantastic movies include Die Hard, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the 40 Year Old Virgin, Garden State, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Chasing Amy, Serenity, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Spider-Man 1 and 2, Memento, Kill Bill 1 & 2, and Animal House.

Television:

I love genre shows, particularly the two best ever: Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. Also love Alias, Twin Peaks, Seinfeld, That '70s Show, Lost, Battlestar Galactica (the new one), Desperate Housewives, Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, the Sopranos, Entourage, Cheers, and 24.

Books:

Anything by Stephen King, also dig Nelson DeMille, Carl Hiaasen, Philip K. Dick, John Saul, Nick Hornby, and Elmore Leonard. As for the classics, gotta dig Fitzgerald and Hemingway.

Heroes:

Stephen King, Jimi Hendrix, Joss Whedon, Brian Michael Bendis, and Jon Stewart.
