Lucyd (pronounced Lucid)
Lucyd are currently recording their debut CD. In the meantime they have decided to realease a 5 song E.P. to start promoting their original music. Although this is their first release they have already gained some industry attention by placing runner up in the prestigious U.K. Song writing Competition. The U.K. Song writing competition is sponsored by the Brit Awards and Roland among many others. Their song Change placed in the Folk/Country category. With heartfelt vocals and a positive message, this song will surely relate to anyone that has ever been in a relationship.
Lucy is the lead vocalist of Lucyd. She grew up in a very musical family and was singing harmonies along with her family members at a very early age. Her musical influences are many. She grew up listening to soul, rock, pop, folk, jazz, blues, r&b and even polynesian music. She has performed in many countries including the U.A.E, Oman, Canada, New Zealand, England and the Cooke Islands.
Kevin is the guitarist/producer for Lucyd. He has performed extensively throughout Canada, the United States, and England. He has also performed in the U.A.E, Oman, Argentina and Bosnia. Besides working with Lucyd , Kevin is very busy as a guitar teacher and freelance guitarist. He works with various original artists and cover bands around England and abroad.
Lucyd will be performing their orignal music around London in the coming months. Watch this space!!!!!
