Life can make you dizzy

About Me

Thru the Ashes is comprised of the lead vocalist (Brian Yelton) and lead guitarist (Ronnie Stoops) formerly of the modern/classic rock band, Mind Spin. The project was started with the intentions of bringing original songs to the public acoustically with postive uplifting messages of faith and perseverance. Just recently, five of the many songs out of Thru the Ashes extensive portfolio was recorded at The Maple Room in Bellflower, MO. Randy Beeman and Joe Rutlidge, the engineers of the Maple Room, used their extensive knowledge of sound recording and production to bring these works to life. Considering that all recordings were done on a Sunday afternoon and the guitar solos were recorded through improvisation and no prior arrangement, it seems fair to say that these works could vastly improve with a little extra T.L.C. As far as live shows, the acoustic duet plans to begin booking shows in the Northeastern Missouri area soon. If all goes well, the shows will branch out into St. Louis, MO and western Illinois in the future. CD's will be available at the shows./////////The most recent development in Thru the Ashes musical direction has led into a quartet with the intentions of recording electric full band songs. Some of the acoustic songs on this page will be made electric. Aside from that, others are being written and worked out for the debut album. Plans are to be playing local shows by around May of 2008. Hopefully, the debut album will be finished soon after. Things are definitely falling together very rapidly and the excitement is rising with every rehearsal session. We will be sure to keep you all posted on the progress of the band and any advancements toward recording sessions and live shows. With that being said, let me formally announce the addition of Rob (bassist) and Charlie (Drummer) to the line up of "Thru the Ashes".
