Head Gap

Head Gap Recording Studio Melbourne Australia

About Me

Head Gap is an analogue-focused multi-track recording studio located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

Based around a large control room (48 square metres), expansive live room (65 square metres), iso booth and cab room, the studio is an excellent tracking and mixing space for a band or project of any size. Visual contact is maintained between all three main rooms with extensive use of glass. Direct natural light prevents cabin fever and keeps the plants alive. Check out our Pics section for some photos.

Bands that have recorded at Head Gap include folk like Hotel Wrecking City Traders, The Knives of Neptune, Ahkmed, Tic Toc Tokyo, My Disco, The Tigers, Guy Blackman, Stu Thomas, Japanther (USA), The Temper Trap, Ninetynine, Pikelet, The Crayon Fields, The Slits (UK), Batrider (NZ), Magic Dirt, Tarcutta, Further, Even, Grey Daturas, Baseball, When Chimps Attack, Crux, Meester, Dad They Broke Me, 731, NOR.WAY, St Helens, The Original Snakeskins, Grand Salvo, Batchelor of Arts, Small Town Fiasco, Flesh Vs Venom, The Red Cherries, Sista She, My Left Boot, Violent Soho, Red Light Union, Winterun, Byrna, The Double Agents, The Clang Association, Meccah, Sons of the Sun and Love of Diagrams.
