Hello There, I'm Amanda Thomas a singer/songwriter from Sydney, Australia. My music is best described as indie pop rock.Most recently my song 'I Let Go' came 2nd in the Indie/Rock category for the Australian Songwriters Association 27th National Songwriting Contest 2007.I've been collaborating with my friend and guitarist David Longo and we are in the latter stages of recording my first album. The band line-up includes some of Sydneys finest musicians with David Longo (guitar), Nic Cecire (drums), Greg Royal (bass) and Gary Daley (Keys). These guys have worked with many of Australias leading artists including; The Whitlams, Kate Cebrano, Yothu Yindi, members of INXS, Wendy Matthews, Australian Idol, Paulini, Rachel Gaudry and Lilly Dior to name a few.What you hear now is the pre-production of a few songs that David and I have worked on. I'm very excited about recording and finally getting my original material out there.I recorded the main body of the album with the band at Paradise Studio's in January 2007 whilst heavily pregnant and in February I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. I took some time out to focus on being a mum then got back into recording the rest of my vocals and guitars at Davids home studio. I've mixed 9 songs with Anton Hagop at Origami Studio's and Dave is mixing the last 2. Next up is mastering. So shouldn't be too long before I'm out their playing live.
