I met Paramahansa Yogananda in the silent chamber of my heart and I've been so blessed to have met the Dalai Lama (thank you Rangzen.org)I KNOW I'll meet the people I NEED to meet. I think we always attract the friends we're supposed to meet...to learn life's lessons both big and small. And if we stay Awake and Aware, we can review the day before we fall asleep and realize some of the reasons for the day's events and the lessons we were/are supposed to be learning.
I'd like to go back in time and meet George Harrison, the sweet Beatle.George Harrison - All Those Years Ago

Man, I just wrote a lot of stuff here, and I lost it. So I'll rewrite it another day. Until then:you'll see I enjoy a wide spectrum of music....from classical and new age spacey music, Brian Eno, Hearts of Space, to Grateful Dead,(and members Mickey's, Phil's, and Bob's separate bands),VAN MORRISON, The Spud Puppies,The Lost Trailers and Cross Canadian Ragweed, to a lot of the new stuff played on alternative stations (like WTTS 92.3 out of Indy/Bloomington).I ESPECIALLY like being turned on to new stuff (new to me and new to the scene), local bands and people, Indie music. There are so many bands/people all across America - cancel that - Across the World making music. MySpace is a great venue for hearing new music and lyrics...like Joe Monaghan and ALL the Monaghans!!!!
(Karmen, I know you will enjoy this video - the music AND the colors.)Neverland by Marillion (Lyrics in Blog.)Just a few - What the Bleep, ET, Schindler's List, AI: Artificial Intelligence, Back to the Future trilogy, original Star Wars trilogy, Shawshank Redemption, Sophie's Choice (so sad), Close Encounters of the Third Kind, O,Brother..., Harry Potter, and more.
Firefly...gone, but not forgotten; Medium, The Ghost Whisperer, The Dead Zone, SciFi, only excellent made for tv movies like Taken; Biographies about interesting people i.e. Gahndi,Tesla, Einstein, musicians, great actors, and, of course, my mind's blank now and I'll wake up in the middle of the night remembering cool people. Nova with neat stuff like The Theory of Everything or Quantum Physics and Discovery, and on and on and on and on.
So many books, so little time. Autobiography of a Yogi, Dickens and the rest of the old Classics, the new Classics like 1984, A Separate Peace, Lord of the Flies, Animal Farm, Siddhartha (and all Hesse)etc.; time travel themes like Time Traveler's Wife and The Outlander series by Gabaldon (I would LOVE to find a real Dragonfly in Amber), some of Stephen King(especially The Dark Tower series) Dean Koontz (but not the real gory ones),Bridges of Madison County, anything by Richard Bach, This Perfect Day, all Robert A. Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land (Do you grok?), all Anne River Siddons, Cider House Rules et.al., historical fact/fiction about moving west in the 1800s like Centennial and many more, and immigrants moving to America with nothing and making it big, or Clan of the Cave Bear series, books with mystical, spiritual, or magical themes, and I could go on forever. I was the kid with the flashlight under the covers because it was so hard to put the book down.
My daughter and son: They are both so talented and artistic...from fluency in foreign language, to most of the arts..I would pick them for friends even if they weren't my kids.Amy speaks Spanish like a native; she's a great writer, speaker, teacher- passionate in her beliefs and causes. Animal rights activist. (note to me: Need to edit more.)) Creative; She can draw, paint, great at the graphic arts. (More later) And Ben...Music is much of his life, from composing, recording in his sound studio, performing - guitar, bass, keyboards, etc., humor. I Love to watch the bands he's in (and relive the past bands). (Need to edit this) Computer Savvy, like so many of the dot.commer age - yikes, I’ll finish later.
