Blessed to have learned the identity of my birth father in 2000, I recently enjoyed meeting his only son Jim, my first face to face with a blood relative. I found solace I never thought possible and hope someday for the opportunity to meet his extended family and his four sisters. I am closing in on my birth mother's information and have gained a new appreciation and knowledge for the state of Massachusetts. Hopefully another reunion will be in the not to distant future.
Music makes my world go around ... just got a new Ipod, can't download enough.
In true chick form, I love all sappy movies. I like foreign films and art films. When I'm feeling blue I'll watch: Pretty Woman, When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, 50 First Dates ... what can I say, I'm an optimist looking for a happy ending. I love old movies, black and whites are the best ... talent a great story line and good dialogue counted back then.
It's summer ... who watches TV?
Just finished the last Harry Potter, I loved it. In fact I re-read them all the week before the final book's release. Summertime is all about lazy days and reading in my mind. I have been reading the Wheel of Time series. It is great, the first time in years I actually enjoy fiction. I hope the author finishes the 13th book soon, I'll be ready for it!
The Mothers I have loved and lost ... my birth mother, my Mom Anne. Sally Xanders, who taught me about children’s laughter, the color purple and personal days. Connie Ryan, who taught me that hard work accomplishes almost everything and about speaking purposefully. Marcia Brant, who instilled in me the joy of cooking and the meaning of family. My children, who are a challenge, a comfort, a joy and who give my very existence meaning. Bless you all and thank you for loving me.
