Wild at Heart Canada is an animal rights and liberation organization based in Toronto, Canada. We are extremely active and we campaign heavily against various animal exploitation industries including the fur industry, vivisection, circuses, and rodeos through the use of public demonstrations, media coverage, tabling events, and more. We have recently added companion animal protection (ie. puppy mills and pound seizure) as well as factory farming/vegan outreach to our campaign platforms with new events planned for 2008!
Any time a circus or rodeo rolls into town, we are there, telling them to get out! We have protested Procter & Gamble in Dundas Square, taken part in the 2006 and the 2007 Toronto Vegetarian Food Fair, and held SHAC7 fundraisers.
During the Winter 2006/2007 season, we held weekly fur demos and distributed over 10,000 anti fur leaflets in five months. We organized this year's demonstration against the Seal Hunt in March and for the past two years, have held large public vegan dinners for the International Meatout Day. We created a 'Change to Cruelty-Free' Challenge during the World Week for Animals in Labs 2007 and we are working with various city councillors in Toronto and Markham to amend existing bylaws that deal with the treatment of animals.
We have been featured in the Toronto Sun, the Toronto Star, Canoe.ca, the Edmonton Sun, the Calgary Sun, the Edmonton Journal, Now Magazine, Korea Times, on AM 680, Global News, CTV, and been guests on the Dean Blundell Show on 102.1 The Edge and on Animal Voices. We've even been on a television show in Azerbaijan!

We believe every animal has the right to exercise their natural instincts and live a life free of cruelty, torture, and confinement. Animals exist beyond humans –they are truly wild at heart.
