About Me

..
The Rage is a retail venue dedicated to promoting Toronto culture, period. Every item in the store is designed and made by young Toronto-based artists EXCLUSIVELY. Womenswear for now, not forever.........The store has a great mix of original cuts, reconstructed stuff and new items that have been altered/screenprinted. Every item has its own energy and personality, none of it belongs to a certain 'scene' or 'look'. Everything is one-of-a-kind.The artists are high school/college/university students or work full-time while trying to get a business going. Many of the designers are self-taught. The stuff these immensely talented women come up with is so FRESH it's RAW!
Best of all, any money spent, whether at the hands of the customer, the designer or The Rage, all the money STAYS IN TORONTO.
Disregarding standards, enabling pursuits and voicing opinion, jumping, screaming, dancing, figuring out ways of wearing things so observers can't decide if they're entertained, offended or just confused. Questioning everything, trying anything, as long as no one gets hurt.
Rage's interests:
Anyone who understands
1. The right attitude makes you hot.
2. The mainstream fashion industry sucks (so boring!!)
3. How crucial supporting local economy is.
4. Unknown artists make the best stuff (it's all out of love yo)
5. Toronto is experiencing cultural maturity. We're setting standards guys.......
6. You don't have to be anything besides what you want or create. And the best part is, whatever you are now will always change. Then change again!
Love you xo s.
