About Me

FACTS:
-Displayed were a Dutch band who made music that could be called 'Riot Grrrl', 'Foxcore', 'Punk Rock' or maybe even 'Grunge'.
-Displayed was founded in June of 2004 by Suzanne (bass, vocals) and Nora (drums, vocals)
-In December of 2004 Displayed recorded a song in their rehearsalroom for a DIY compilation cassette tape ("Riots in the Benelux", a project by Echo Records, released in April 2005)
-When Nora quit in July 2005, Suzanne took over on leadvocals and started (re)writing (more) lyrics and songs
-Despite Astrid's departure Displayed finished recording their first demo ("Shorter! Faster!") and released it in February 2006
-In 2006 Displayed opened for such acts as The Shocker, Elle Bandita and We Rock Like Girls Don't
-In April 2007 Displayed called it quits after 2,5 years of existence, 28 gigs in 16 cities, 2 rehearsal spaces, 2 drummers and 2 guitarists and a lot of fun.
-Displayed's full bio/info can be found on www.displayed.nl

Influences: Suzanne: stuff like Babes In Toyland, Bikini Kill, Heavens To Betsy, L7, Hole, 7 Year Bitch, Dover and loads and loads of other (grrl)bands - depending on what I feel like, what I'm into at the moment or what I've just discovered!
The other band members had a different taste in music though.
Sounds Like: Steven from Gin Fiz says: "Clove meets Babes In Toyland, raped by Bikini Kill" .... and loads of people seem to compare Suzanne tot Nina Hagen.....
Type of Label: None
