About Me

I've been writing and playing all types of music for 30+ years. Been in Nashville since 2000 knowing the right collaborators will help me get some major cuts because the Lord didn't give me these abilities for nothing. I was a pro musician (guitar and other instruments) but now my ears are fried from playing in loud bands. Also did a lot of radio and a little TV and was a concert and broadcast engineering, production and promotion assistant, working with acts from Los Lobos to Wayne Newton to David Grisman. And I was on the Gong Show, where I got gonged by Casey Kasem's wife as Bob Eubanks and John Matuszak looked on. I'm also an award-winning business writer and widely-published freelance writer, with many articles published in the Tennessean and its FYI Magazine as well as in papers and magazines around the country. Working on getting my first novel published. I'm originally from the IA-IL Quad-Cities, lived in Michigan, L.A., Las Vegas. All music above is copyright Rick Moore, Rick Moore and Bob Stangenberg and Rick Moore and Nick Autry. For full versions of songs that say "edit," please contact me. Moon in the Middle and Plant the Seed sung by Carolyn Rose; Wannabe sung by some East Tennessee demo singer. I'm singing Mississippi Man and PhD.
