The voices of iconic females Martha Davis, Chrissie Amphlett, Pat Benatar and Chrissie Hynde each presented Lillian with aspirations and dreams throughout childhood.Spending her early 20s studying acting, Lillian found herself on the brink of a burgeoning career in film production. But something inside tugged at her, taking her back to her memories of those voices that she loved, voices that she wanted to be part of and she found herself wondering "What if I could sing as well as the Chrissies and the Pats and the Marthas? What if I had that voice in me? What if I went through the rest of my life not knowing?"Striking a balance between the business and the craft, Lillian earned her stripes working for independent label Shock Records and gave rise to Athenas song a festival in celebration of Australian women in music showcasing the likes of Monique Brumby and Sally Dastey.
Fuelling her creativity with life experiences, she learnt as much as she could about the industry at Shock before immerseing herself in music studies at Melbourne's Box Hill School of Music. In 2004 it was time to roll the dice and record her first album. Becoming a virtual hermit, Lillian spent most of that year writing and sharing her work with those she hoped to lariat for the project. These days, Lillian cant quite imagine life without a guitar in her hand, a few chords and a whole new path before her. And after hearing her album "Hit The Ground" youll agree she has well and truly found her voice.Tour Pics...see blog entry
