On Tuesday 10th of October 2006 Amy Grossbard realised a life long dream when she launched her debut EP 'Over Time' to a sell out crowd at one of Melbourne's premium live music venues - The Northcote Social Club. In late 2005 Amy could be spotted at venues around her hometown of Melbourne teasing audiences with understated but compelling performances. Less than a year later she arrived at Woodstock Studios to record a handful of original songs for her debut EP 'Over Time'. With sound engineer Robin Mae (John Butler - Sunrise Over Sea) at the helm, the tracks were laid in a day by some of Melbourne's top session musicians. An independent release, through Amiable Records, 'Over Time' showcases a truly unique voice and a songwriter with a special gift for blending thoughtful lyrics and strong melodies. 'Need Your Love' explores the paradox of being independent and falling hopelessly in love, in a funky track that gathers momentum even as it fades into the final improvised chorus. 'Eyes of A Child' is an unexpected treat - an organic drum and bass track with sultry, jazzy vocals. 'Shame on You' is an unforgettable ballad. And 'Over Time' is a bright, up-beat track that lends its name to the EP and in so doing captures the journey Amy has taken to arrive at her musical debut. Amy has spent most of 2007/2008 promoting the EP, touring throughout Australia under the banner of The Maiden Voyage Tour. Amy is currently writing for her debut LP, set to be released in early 2009.
