That's TERESE GENECCO!
All of those awards and accolades are for her stunning musical creations called "DRUNK WITH LOVE: A TRIBUTE TO FRANCES FAYE!" and "DRUNK WITH LOVE: THE SEQUEL!"
Genecco is currently blowing the roof off the joint at San Francisco's nightclub newcomer, THE RRAZZ ROOM IN THE HOTEL NIKKO where she appears each Saturday night at 10:30 PM. She is joined on stage by her 7 or 8-piece jazz group called *the little big band* and feature special guest stars as available.
Genecco's debut CD, "DRUNK WITH LOVE:A TRIBUTE TO FRANCES FAYE!" was recorded live at New York City's METROPOLITAN ROOM in October of 2006 and released on the BUG:OUT:MUSIC label in April of 2007.
Genecco's *little big band* often features JACK "Mr. Bongo" COSTANZO, (Frances Faye's featured percussionist on her 1958 Live LP, "Caught In The Act!") on Latin percussion. Costanzo also played with major celebrities of the last half of the 20th Century including JUDY GARLAND, FRANK SINATRA, ELVIS PRESLEY, NAT "KING" COLE, DINAH SHORE, SAMMY DAVIS, JR., and many more. He also appeared in several feature films in the 1950's and 60's and played on countless studio recording sessions.
Genecco's shows are high-energy, full-impact, rollicking romps through the songs recorded and performed by Faye during her 6-decade-long career, with hits from the Rat Pack, Judy Garland, and even Joe Cocker thrown in for good measure.
