In addition to serving on the board of MAC (MANHATTAN ASSOCIATION OF CABARETS AND CLUBS) he has also served on the boards of TRU (Theatre Resources Unlimited), IGCITA (The International Guild For Celebrity and Tribute Artists), and THE TIMES SQUARE GROUP (bringing the arts to inner city kids/schools).Skipper has taken his tribute to Carol Channing around the world and from coast to coast. Highlights include the NATIONAL THEATRE WING tribute to Carol Channing, Tommy Tune and James Earl Jones, a benefit performance for the DR. CAROL CHANNING/HARRY KULLIJIAN FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS with Carol and Harry in attendance and guest star NEIL SEDAKA; performing on board WindStar Cruise Lines from Rome to Athens, and a return engagement in celebration of Carol Channing's birthday at Washington DC's National Theater. On New Year's eve, 2007 he was invited to make a special guest appearance at Harrah's Rincon. The show has been brought to a new level as a two act evening of theater with a band and singer/dancers, with a New York Premier at the Wings Theater Company, going on to the Cultural Center Theater in Port Charlotte Florida, the Social Restaurant in Aspen, Colorado, and returning to Manhattan for special guest appearance at the Dancer's Over 40 tribute to Gower Champion featuring David Hartman, Margot Champion and Lee Roy Reams. Most recent appearances include a return appearance at the Dutch Treat Club Luncheon series in New York, and The Bushnell Center for the Arts in Hartford, Connecticut. Richard can next be seen as the opening act at the Rockland Council for the Arts' upcoming awards ceremony on April 24 in Nyack, New York.Other major appearances include The New Crown and Anchor in Provincetown, Massachusetts; the Venetian Room at The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco; the SOUTH SHORE AIDS PROJECT at The Linden Pond Fireplace Lounge in Hingham, Massachusetts, and as the key note speaker at the annual IGCITA convention in Las Vegas. Skipper has taken his amazing tribute to Carol Channing successfully to Atlantic City with three long-running engagements (twice at Trump's Taj Mahal, and at The Hilton).
