About Me

If you are interested here's a quick shameless bio...
Born in the Highlands of Scotland, in the town of Wick in the County of Caithness, a "durty Weeker" if you are from Thurso! Brought up in Tain, Ross-shire, also lived in Inverness before landing in the USA. These days I live in Katy, Texas. I've been in the States for almost 10 years.

In 2005 I formed the "sometimes" progressive Celtic band known as Murder the Stout . We play your usual Irish & Scottish standards led by Wicklow man Gerard Bride. We have been compared to "Clancy Brothers on Red Bull". I also play "teuchter music" for Scottish Ceilidh & Country dancing with Kendall Rogers, a top class keyboard and bodhran player.
Recently I've been accompanying some very fine singers, GLASGOW GIRL JOANN GILMARTIN & JED MARUM who's based in Dallas, Texas. I'm about to join Jed & his band of buddies on his latest musical project LONESTAR STOUT.

Last year I returned home to Scotland where I played with brilliant Edinburgh band THE DEAD BEAT CLUB , who recently released their superb debut album RANDOM HEARTFELT TRINKETS. So go buy a copy now!

Here's some of my own myspace friends I recommend you check out... (in no particular order)
