"If you come see my show you will hear country music. Not rock and roll, not pop country. Just straight forward real country music. I’m not trying to do something different, I’m just trying to do it right. And I’ve never sang a song I didn’t like". Luke Galloway prides himself on playing real country music which includes many of his own songs and solid covers of today and from the past. Luke has worked hard to keep country music alive by always having a pedal steel guitar in his band. Infact he refuses to play without one in his line-up. Luke has just recently moved to Nashville but his Michigan home town band is a six to seven piece band which includes Galloway on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Tom Davis on drums, Skeeter Klott on pedal steel guitar, Ron Williams on bass, Joe Afton on lead guitar, Steve Bennett and Drew Gitchel on Fiddel and Shapel Burkart on back-up vocals. Luke will continue working in Nashville writing songs and putting together a road band.Playing real country music has put Luke Galloway in a great position to open for a wide spectrum of acts in the genre that many other "country" bands could not.
Luke has been proud to have opened for such greats as: Wayne Hancock, Charlie Daniels, John Conlee, Big Sandy, Dierks Bentley, Trent Willmon, Trent Summers, Ray Scott, Fred Eaglesmith, Jeff Bates, Eric Church, Jake Owen, Little Big Town, Jamie O’Neal, Blake Shelton, The Blacks and John Corbett. Luke has also done upscale after party shows for Tim McGraw and Alan Jackson and has had Joe Nichols on stage with him and his band the Drifters.
