In August 2007 Eerie Eric was thinking of creating a website that is devoted to the horror genre. In addition to the regular website www.fearthedead.com he created a MySpace version of the site at www.fearthedead.net . The site took off and had a great response from everyone!! This was great and what I wanted. I met a few horror punk bands and got this idea in my head to create a record label devoted to Horror Punk & Horror Rock! “Fear The Dead Records†was born into this world! Launched 10-31-07!
Fear The Dead Records : was born out of Massachusetts on Oct 31, 2007 when they released their first horror punk comp #1. 22 Bands on it and selling quickly Fear The Dead has taken off. Still was unsure of what Fear The Dead wanted to accomplish but we now know what we are here for.
We here at Fear The Dead want to help smaller bands out of the horror genre by creating various cd compilations for exposure in helping the bands, creating Fear The Dead shows to support the DEAD and promote the DEAD movement….and Fear The Dead bands who want to play and showcase their talents can! Our shows will start off as 3 dollar shows bringing back the GOOD OL DAYS of the 3 dollar punk shows. We are here to help all we can! We are also interested in releasing split cds, 4-6 songs from two different bands. I am and will release cds with one band but we will be selective to these releases. All cd comps will always cost $6.66 Free Shipping and be available at similar pricing at INTERPUNK.com. Double cd comps and full lengths will be 10 dollars Free Shipping. Some split cds will be $6.66 and some $10.00. We are in the process of doing DVDs as well showcasing our bands. Those will be $10.00 free shipping, once we start doing these. So far our cd comp is selling out on INTERPUNK.com, and we are selling many ourselves. Success is on the way and we thank everyone for their continued support!
