I Am The Ultimate Freddy Krueger And True Son Of A Hundred Maniacs

About Me

______________________________________________
Evil has spawned! Here's ........ Freddy!
__________________________________________
~~~Childhood~~~__________________________________________
During the Christmas holiday in the early 1940s, a young nun named Sister Mary Helena (Amanda Krueger) was accidentally locked in the wing for the criminally insane at "Westin Hills" psychiatric hospital. For days, she was raped and tortured numerous times by the one hundred patients confined there. Days later, she was found, barely clinging to life, and now pregnant. Nine months later, after a breech birth, Frederick Charles Krueger was born. Amanda decided to raise the child herself, while continuing to work as a nun. As Freddy grew up, he began to exhibit disturbed behavior, including killing and maiming small animals. At school, meanwhile, he was savagely taunted by the other children, who would often ridicule him by chanting "son of a hundred maniacs." __________________________________________
~~~Teenage years~~~__________________________________________
After attacking his mother Amanda, 11-year-old Freddy was removed from her custody and placed with an old, abusive, drunk named Mr. Underwood (portrayed by Alice Cooper in Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare) who severely beat Freddy on a daily basis. As time went by, Freddy began enjoying the beatings and associated pain with pleasure. Into his teens, Freddy developed a taste for self mutilation. After a particularly brutal beating from Mr. Underwood, Freddy exacted revenge by setting the house ablaze while the man slept. As the house went up in flames, Freddy simply walked away, never bothering to see if the man survived. Freddy briefly returned to his mother, but was again removed from her care after he beat and raped her.At age seventeen, Freddy took a bagger's job at a local supermarket. In the trash, he found a beat-up old fedora that he began wearing religiously. Meanwhile, a senior at Springwood High, Freddy worked up the nerve to ask the extremely popular Denise Charlotte to the prom. Shocked that he would dare ask herDenise accepted his invitation, with the intention of standing him up. As Freddy arrived up to her house on prom night, Denise refused to come to the door and instead sat up in her bedroom laughing at his humiliation with her best friend, Cindy. Freddy would not forget this. __________________________________________
~~~Adulthood~~~__________________________________________
Not a full year after graduating from Springwood High, Freddy returned to the school this time working as a janitor, while both the faculty and underclassmen often snickered. It was at this time that he met a frumpy, weak-willed and insecure young waitress named Loretta Johnson, whom he began dating, and eventually married. Freddy began leading a double life playing husband to Loretta, while simultaneously maltreating and raping prostitutes on the side. After Loretta gave birth to their daughter, Katherine, Freddy briefly reformed himself, taking a job at a local Power Plant, while committing no atrocities at this time.__________________________________________
~~~"The Springwood Slasher"~~~__________________________________________
While working at the plant, Freddy one day dozed off and was awaken by the sound of three 8-year-old boys who'd wandered in, and began laughing at him. An enraged Freddy screams profanities at, and chases after, them. As they ran away, he managed to get ahold of one by the arm. Freddy then grabbed a broken beer bottle and jabbed it into the child's abdomen killing him instantly. The other two boys briefly stopped running, and looked on with horror at what happened to their friend. Freddy saw the look of terror in their faces and found he enjoys it. Exhilarated by the fear of the children, Freddy sees this as his calling.After discovering that the boy he killed lived on Elm Street, Freddy takes a trip to the sunny, suburban neighborhood with happy families and green lawns and is disgusted. Wanting to corrupt the serenity, he started stalking the children who live on the street. His next victim is a seven year old girl, whose mother had been late picking her up from school. Freddy approached the girl, telling her that he was her "Uncle Freddy." The naive child trusted his seeming sincerity and went off with him. Days later, the authorities discovered her body in an abandoned field.As Freddy's child slaying hobby was beginning to take off, in his basement, he began to construct various torture devices to aid him in his killing his favorite being a glove with long steel razors on each finger. Completely oblivious to what was going on, Loretta happened onto Freddy's murderous workshop. Freddy arrived home in time to catch his wife's snooping and choked her to death; 5-year-old Katherine witnessed the murder.The power plant Freddy worked at was closed down, leaving him jobless. In spite of authorities not piecing together that he was responsible for Loretta's death (or the children he had killed), Freddy was still declared an unfit parent. Katherine was subsequently removed from his custody and put up for adoption. Losing his daughter enraged Freddy, who turned up his child killing antics around Springwood, Elm Street in particular, exponentiallyusing the boiler room at the now-condemned power plant to torture and slaughter them.As the number of kids being murdered increased, the police were unable to solve the cases. The newspapers soon dubbed the mysterious killer the 'Springwood Slasher.' Krueger was discovered when a child he had abducted managed to escape his clutches and alerted the authorities. Police arrived at the boiler room in time to prevent Freddy from killing a 5-year-old boy.Krueger was arrested and put on trial but, because someone did not sign a warrant in the right place, was not convicted and subsequently freed on a technicality. The night of his release, the enraged parents of Elm Street tracked him to his lair at the power plant and set fire to it, burning him alive inside. His remains were hidden in a local junkyard. In death, Freddy was approached by three hellish "dream demons," who allowed him to continue his killings post mortem through dreams. Krueger took on a form that resembled his last moments being burned alive: charred and disfigured flesh, a red and green sweater, a fedora, and his clawed glove.__________________________________________
~~~"Never sleep again"~~~__________________________________________
Ten years passed and all was quiet. The Elm Street parents remained tightlipped about the events of the decade before, and all of their children were now teenagers. In the closing months of 1984, the children of Springwood (specifically those teens whose parents had formed the mob that killed Freddy) began systematically dying again this time in peculiar ways, as they slept. The parents often ignored and/or denied the pleas of their mortified kids, who regaled tales of a mysterious burned man named Fred, who was terrorizing them in their dreams.As long as a victim was dreaming, Freddy could inhabit and control their dreams, twisting them to his own ends. Any physical harm done to a person in this dream world would carry over into the real world, allowing him to easily commit multiple murders. Krueger often toyed with his victims by changing his form and surroundings, usually resembling the factory where he was burned. His powers increased as more and more kids believed he existed and exhibited fear. At the height of his powers, he could cause severe damage in the real world.In a person's own dream, Krueger could also use their deepest fears and personality against them. A few victims managed to use their own imagination to consciously manipulate their dreams against him (a technique known as lucid dreaming), but this had little effect on Krueger, who was completely in control of their dreams already. Another of Krueger's powers involved absorbing the souls of his victims into his own body after they had been killed, which served to make him all the more indestructible. Occasionally, Krueger would be outwitted by his prey and temporarily sent back to Hell after losing a confrontation, but he was always able to return sooner or later.After a decade of systematically slaughtering all of the children of Springwood in their dreams, the town was left barren. All that remained were adults, many of whom slipped into psychosis after their children had been murdered. When there was no one left to kill, Freddy sought to leave Springwood hoping to continue his murderous agenda in another town full of more children. Only one person could arrange for this to happen: his long lost daughter, Katherine.Krueger used what was left of his supernatural resources to track down his daughter, who was now an adult named Maggie Burroughs, and was working as a counselor to troubled teens in another city and state. Since her mother's death, Maggie was raised by adoptive parents and had suppressed the horrible memories of her early childhood. After catching up with Maggie, Freddy attempted to sway her to help him do his bidding she proved, though, that a thirst for murder wasn't hereditary and instead schemed with a dream psychiatrist to help put an end to Freddy once and for all. After pulling him out of her dream, and into reality, Maggie managed to shove a pipe bomb into Freddy's mouth, thus killing him, and releasing the dream demons that had given him his power. It was all overor so it seemed.__________________________________________
~~~Freddy Vs. Jason~~~__________________________________________
In the aftermath of Maggie sending Krueger back to hell unarmed and now completely powerless Springwood sought to revitalize itself. Figuring out how Freddy operated, the authorities and town officials covered up any and all traces of his prior existencewhich included blacking out obituaries and quarantining anyone who had ever dreamt about, or had any knowledge of, Freddy. As a result, Springwood began to come back from its Roswell state, and subsequently repopulated with no ill effects.Freddy, meanwhile, remained in limbo completely unable to escape the boundaries of Hell, thanks to no one in Springwood having any knowledge, and thus fear of him. If he could get people to fear him again, he could gain enough power to return. From this, Freddy hatched a plan to resurrect undead killing zombie Jason Voorhees. In the guise of Voorhees' mother, Pamela, Freddy manipulated him into rising up from the dead once more and to go to Elm Street to kill the teenagers to fool the residents of Springwood into thinking that Krueger was back.Voorhees committed a few murders, which (as planned) were then blamed on Krueger. As a result, Freddy began to get his equilibrium back. A small group of youths and a sheriff's deputy discovered, though, that it was not Krueger who had committed the murders, but it was already too late. Enough fear fell over Springwood to make Krueger strong enough to haunt the town again. The problem, which Freddy hadn't counted on, was that Jason wouldn't stop killing. This led to Freddy becoming irate when "his kids" kept on getting rubbed out by his rival. Thus, a bloody fight ensued between the two murderous icons that raged between the Freddy's dream world to the waking word, at Jason's haunt Camp Crystal Lake. The finality of this fight was deliberately left ambiguous by the writers of Freddy vs Jason. It ended with Jason walking out of the waters holding Krueger's decapitated head winking.
Freddy's Nightmares was a late-night television anthology series that aired over two seasons between 1989 and 1990. It comprised 44 episodes, of which 12 made it to video release (two episodes per tape, over six tapes). A spin-off from the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, each story was introduced by Freddy Krueger (played, as in the movies, by Robert Englund). This format was essentially the same as that employed by Alfred Hitchcock Presents, or Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone. The pilot episode was directed by Tobe Hooper, the same guy who did "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Poltergeist".
It came out right after Elm Street 4 "The Dream Master" which was pretty much the peak of Freddy-mania. The TV show mainly had Freddy playing a similar role to what the Crypt Keeper did on the "Tales From The Crypt" series. He'd appear at the beginning of the show to introduce the story, and then he'd appear at the end to mock all of the stupid bastards that died. Always fun, but the best episodes of Freddy's Nightmares were the ones in which the story was all about him and the people he was killing.

Pure Evil Never Really Dies

-The Future.......

A Nightmare On Elm Street:
The First Murders
The Prequel

This should come as no surprise to anyone who hangs in the horror end of the movie pool, but New Line is apparently gearing up to give us an all-new Freddy Krueger misadventure. No, not another sequel or an odd little experiment like New Nightmare -- but a prequel that plans to cover the back-story of the pre-dead Freddy Krueger, his unseemly relationship with numerous small children, and the neighborhood parents who strike back ... thereby creating an undead boogeyman who'll haunt them for the next 8 movies.

A director has been chosen for this project, an admired and established filmmaker who is certainly no stranger to scary cinema. And that director is ... John McNaughton, the filmmaker who debuted with the undeniably creepy Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer before moving on to crime dramas (Mad Dog & Glory), pulpy sex thrillers (Wild Things), and comedies so bad they never saw a stateside theatrical release (Speaking of Sex). No word yet on screenwriters, release dates, or cast additions, but McNaughton and Robert Englund (Krueger, Fred Krueger) are already on board.

Need to hear it from the man himself.allright..

Robert Englund interviewed by John Gray (30 March 2006)

Q~What about the rumored Nightmare prequel?

A~You know about as much as I do, but I will say that New Line is commissioned to do another one. I will tell you that John (Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer) McNaughton is tapped to direct. I think it should go the "CSI" route and be sort of like a docu-drama that shows his crimes against the children. Then you cast two of the greatest character actors you can find to play the lawyers that get him off. Then of course it leads up to Freddy being burned alive.

Q~I think it would be great to do the whole Darth Vader thing and show human Freddy at the end becoming the Nightmare Freddy, kinda like in Episode III.

A~Exactly! That is great idea actually, but you know, this "CSI" stuff is all over....it would be great if it was done that way, and make it a period seventies piece.

Q~Well, I also have to ask about the rumored Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Michael Myers. Anything going on with that?

A~Well, there are so many rumors, but I know for a fact there have been talks with John Carpenter. Id love to sit down with Jamie Lee and Jeff Katz and bang out a story. My idea would of course have to take place before Jamie Lee is killed in Halloween 8. Almost as if Freddy Vs. Jason vs. Michael Myers happened in the nineties or something. Kind of like Alien 2 goes to Springwood or something, bring back Jamie Lees daughter (Jamie Lloyd) and maybe she could have some sort of goth expertise that would make it to where these guys couldnt stand a chance. Id love to give Jamie Lee something to sink her teeth into as an actress. Throw away the pills, throw away the cigarettes, throw away the little bottles of Vodka

Q~And kick ass....

A~Exactly!

Q~Of course we are all looking to seeing you back in front of the camera as Freddy!

A~It will happen. I just need to take some Correctol and do some laps!

The Rematch Freddy Vs. Jason 2

***UPDATE***
September 22, 2006
Sam Raimi pretty much put the nail in the coffin when he announced his own The Evil Dead remake, which Ghost House Pictures would produce- but is it possible that we might see Ash once again in Freddy vs Jason vs Ash, which was once almost a "go" over at New Line Cinema? You can still read the astounding treatment exclusively at Bloody-Disgustig.com

Comingsoon asked director Ronny Yu, "Any chance you might direct a sequel to "Freddy vs. Jason" if New Line decides to do one?

Yu responded, "Yeah, they've been talking about it, and they even talk about bringing Ash [from Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead" movies] into the equation, and I thought it's terrific. It's almost like an updated version of "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly." If they really want to do it and they want me to do it, I'd love to do it. It would be a lot of fun."

I don't see any reason why this can't happen. If Raimi and co. shy away from using Ash in the 'Evil Dead' remake like they've claimed they would, then couldn't Ash still kick some ass over at New Line? We hope so...____________________________________

-Allright...I keep getting a lot of questions about when I am heading back out of your nightmares to kick that fuck Jasons ass. Here's the "official" word! It's coming...just dont know when but I might be bringing my buddy Michael along this time or maybe even Ash.

- Robert is meeting with some development folks over at New Line to discuss his ideas for a sequel, whether they use them or not. Robert talks fast and throws a million things out quicker than you can digest, so I'll try my best to translate what he said- but the idea may be off a little here or there:

- He mentioned Michael Myers and 'Halloween'- but he wasn't hinting at anything, so don't worry. He loves the idea of a strong teenager fighting against the evil along with a strong mother i.e. Laurie Strode in 'Halloween' and Laurie Strode in 'H20.' So from what I gathered he'd like to have a pair of strong female leads - or maybe even two pairs- pit up against the two big dead dogs. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the 'Hack N' Slash' rumor floating around or if it's just Robert's wild imagination. Either way...

- 'Freddy vs Jason 2' is still going to happen. Just keep in mind that Robert is loaded with ideas, so this is just something he'd like New Line to work with- it does not mean this is the storyline they are working with. I just wanted to be clear.

???Did You Know???
______________________A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)______________________**Fred was the name of a boy who bullied Wes Craven in Junior High School. Krueger was a lengthening of Krug, the villain from Craven's first film The Last House on The Left ______________________ **Writer/Director Wes Craven first got the idea of people being killed their dreams from some articles he read in the LA Times about some people who had been complaining about nightmares and died in their sleep for seemingly no reason. ______________________**One of the most famous effects from the movie was when Tina is dragged along the ceiling as she is killed. They built the room out of mettle with 3 rotating axis. They just covered the mettle with scenery walls, to make it look like a regular bedroom. They bolted the camera, and every peace of furniture, to the floor of the room. Nick Corri, who plays her boyfriend was similarly harnessed to the floor. As Tina is dragged across the ceiling the room is upside-down and she is simply rolling around on the ceiling of an upside-down room. Since the Camera and Rod are both strapped to the floor of the room it creates the illusion that she is defying the laws of physics. ______________________**Wes Craven wanted Freddy's makeup to look like most of the flesh has been burned away. Make-up artist David Miller could not take the makeup as far as Craven wanted so they decided to keep Freddy's face obscured in the shadows as much as possible. ___________________**Made $26 million.______________________A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985)______________________**Wes Craven decided not to be involved with the sequel to his blockbuster because he did not like the idea of the killer making the hero do bad things. He felt that it violated the basic dramatic rule, have a clear hero and a clear villain. He also wanted to do something different than the slasher films that he was becoming famous for. ______________________ **Make-up effects artist Kevin Yagher replaced David Miller, who designed the Freddy make-up for the original. Yagher had only a few pictures and what was shot for the original film to refer to, so he redesigned Freddy's look. Yagher studied pictures of burn victims and brought out the facial bones more than Miller had done. ______________________**Several people have noticed what they consider homo-erotic content in this movie. Some have even said that it is an allegory about a boy who can't come to terms with the fact that he is gay, which is symbolized by Freddy as the monster inside of him. Director Jack Sholder and writer David Chaskin claim that this was unintentional on their part. ______________________**Made $29 million.______________________A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) ______________________**Wes Craven returns to direct. ______________________**The sequence where Freddy's skeleton attacks Lt. Thompson and Dr. Goldman was stop motion animated in front of a rear projection screen. The actors practiced the movements with Robert Englund. The animators matched the skeleton's movement with film of Englund so that it would move like Freddy does. ______________________**The "Freddy-snake" that almost eats Kristen (Patricia Arquette) was actually being pulled off of Arquette; the film was than played in reverse. They certainly did a lot of that reverse effect in this movie didn't they. ______________________**Made $44 million.______________________A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988)______________________**Scott Pierce is listed as a screenwriter, it really it was a pseudonym of Jim Wheat & Ken Wheat. ______________________ **The Pizza of souls also featured radio controlled meatballs that were made to look like the heads of Freddy's victims. For the close-up of Rick's head they build a huge appliance that looked like a pizza and had a hole for actor Andras Jones to stick his head through. ______________________**Joey is killed when he is pulled into his water bed by what at first appears to be a naked model. The bed was really constructed on top of a six foot deep tank. ______________________**Was the most successful installment of the series, earning $49 million.______________________A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989)______________________**David Miller the make-up artist that did Freddy's make-up in the original returned to do the makeup in this one. He took it back to the open sore concept that he started with, but kept the hook nose that Kevin Yagher added. ______________________**The most original effect in this movie was when Mark is turned into a comic book character and slashed, all of his ink runs out like blood. The comic-Mark dieing was achieved by drawing about 150 pictures of him and drawing each one with a lower level of ink and a different facial expression. They mounted the pictures on sheets of aluminum and had two holes in the 'floor' where the cells (drawings) were plugged into. They had to put each one in the same spot or the boy would look like he was jumping around. They shot it frame-by-frame with a background projection of the blood/ink flowing all over the floor. ______________________**Made only $22 million, the lowest of any Nightmare movie.______________________Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)______________________**Looking to rebound from part 5's rather disappointing box office returns New Line employed several gimmicks in this one. The obvious one is the death of Freddy. There were also several cameos.______________________**When the unfortunate John Doe falls onto a bed of nails his body in the real world gets covered in holes that fill with blood. The effect was done with a fiberglass torso that had a mechanism that sucked down the holes and filled them with blood. ______________________ **The final battle with Freddy was shot in 3D. Rachel Talalay did not want to use that gimmick, but the marketing guys over-ruled her. Everything from when Maggie puts on the 3D glasses until she takes them off was the 3D part of time movie. audience members were told to put the glasses on when she did. ______________________**The first Nightmare on Elm Street film to have an adult protagonist. ______________________**Made $34 million______________________Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994)______________________**Does not officially count as being part of the Nightmare on Elm Street saga because it does not take place in the same universe as the Nightmare movies. It takes place in what one could call the 'real world'. 'Real world' meaning that in this place Freddy Krueger is a fictional character, not a child killer; and that A Nightmare on Elm Street was a movie that Wes Craven wrote and directed. In fact the Freddy Krueger that they fight is not Freddy Krueger at all. It is a demon who has taken on the persona and appearance of the immensely popular horror film icon.______________________**In the hospital Heather is told that she can not be in a certain area without a pass; she replies "Screw your pass!" The very same line was spoken, by her character Nancy in Nightmare 1, to a hall monitor in a dream.______________________ **The final credits list Freddy Krueger as having portrayed himself.______________________**Grossed $18.09 million domestically______________________
