I am an artist, singer/songwriter,sound healer and teacher.
Been a hopeless romantic through all life has thrown me.

Have always felt like a dreamer and outsider even as a child when I would sit for hours staring at the ocean not realizing I was meditating. But it made me who I am and made me cherish that connection to my inner spirit as I get older.
My life has been full of struggles and triumphs but all in a way preparing me to help others I believe in their own journey. For it has given me a chance to be a healer who also knows of having the heal oneself first in order to become a better teacher to others.
It is for me now to show my light again and teach others and hopefully make a difference in the world in whatever way I can.

I donate a percentage of products on my retail site to help wildlife and animal sanctuaries.

I have always felt very connected to Native American culture and learned more about it from my soulmate "Littlehawk before he passed on to the light. The Wolf is my totem animal.
I am always learning and growing and like speaking and performing my inspirational music and toning in workshops to help teach people how to release stress, tension and pain and help themselves!

Kirsten Korot is an accomplished singer/ songwriter and Vibrational Sound and Intuitive Tone Healer located in Venice, California.

Kirsten began her journey into sound healing from her work as a singer/songwriter who was often told her music had healing qualities to it. In her desire to learn more about sound and vibration and it's effects on healing she began to study the art of Intuitive Toning.
She met her toning partner Gail Chasin and they began a journey to create a Sound Healing CD recorded completely unrehearsed and intuitively toned. What began as an experiment turned into this amazing CD "Elements" released in Nov 2004.

As spirit and the synchonicity of life would have it, in the same month that the CD was released Kirsten was called into her doctors office and told she had later stage Hepatitic C and liver disease from a blood transfusion done in a surgery in her 20's. It sat for 20 yrs silently doing damage and she was given 8-10 yrs to live at that point. Her chances of curing it with traditional medicine were not considered good odds.
At one point a very famous Liver Doctor even gave up on herin the 1st month of treatment and suggested she just sign up for a liver transplant and stop the medicine, so against his wishes she turned to other doctors in Western and Alternative Medicine that would work with her non-traditional approach and allow her to participate in her own healing process.
Kirsten began a regime combining the traditional medicine with her toning and sound therapy, visualization, breathwork, and acupuncture and within a few months the disease was undetectable in her body.

In her own healing journey,Kirsten found that the CD "Elements" that she createdto help others heal became her own best tool for self-healing.

Having come through such a powerful healing journey herself, Kirsten's goal is to teach others the techniques she used in her own healing to relieve stress, pain, combat depression and heal from illness and find a place of peace within themselves and the Power of their own Voice and Sound for Healing!!
Because of her own profound and miraculous healing, Kirsten believes it is part of her journey to work with others in the healing process to teach them techniques they can use along with traditional medicine to aid in their own self-healing and to teach them the power of the Body-Mind-Spirit connection in healing.

Kirsten's volunteers at Cancer Centers and works with others with Hep C and other illnesses and facilitates workshops and privates in Los Angeles and also travels to retreats and seminars all over the U.S. teaching her blend of Intuitive Toning,Breathing Exercises, Sacred Healing Movements, Visualization,Stillness and Music to open our body, mind and spirit to it'sfull potential.

Music:

I love all styles of music and study and learn from it I work with Tuning Forks and Tibetan bowls and love both meditation, ambient music as well as artists like Kenny Loggins, Train, Aretha Franklin, Etta James. My tastes run from soul to R & B to Pop to Alternative Rock and New Age Music. As a musician and songwriter I'm interested in all styles and love incorporating and experimenting with them in my music.

Movies:

I tend to be drawn toward independent movies that have more depth and storylines and also inspirational movies that move me. I also like romantic love stories and comedies being the Pisces hopeless romantic and dreamer I am. I'm hooked on Netflix because I love the old movies like Gene Kelly and stuff you can't get at most video stores so I tend to watch those more and only go to the movies if it is something I really want to see in the theatre.

Books:

I read all types of books from politics to inspirational and love to learn about other cultures and religions and stay informed about the world around me.

Heroes:

I have inspirations and muses but mostly people I have met in my life. Many have passed on but influenced my work and desire to create and study healing arts. My biggest hero was my god-sister who I lost to AIDS when she was just a young girl but she was so brave and old beyond her years and taught me so much. She is my angel and muse. My Mom is also a hero of mine - a strong, independent woman who built businesses, raised a family and was always open to learning about new things and supporting my healing arts work even when she didn't understand it at first. My Dad is also a hero because he stays open to new things and watched my own healing work on myself and when he needed to deal with an illness he took it upon himself to use what I had taught him to help him in his healing. Not too many 78 yr olds would be open to stuff like that.
