About Me

25 years ago Hep C got a name. 25 years later Hep C is still left unnamed by most of One in every Fifty people in the US that has it. 200 million victims live worldwide. Most are silent because they feel they must be. Public reaction is cruel because of their ignorance of the disease. ‘Cause for most people...it ain’t what you think it is. You don't have to have the disease to be affected by it.
Have you noticed your health insurance rates lately? Hep C is the number one cause of Liver Transplants in the US. Do you know what a liver transplant costs? The average is $250,000 (usd). That is only the beginning, anti-rejection drugs must be taken for the remainder of the victim's entire life ($4,000 to 10,000 / year). If a victim does opt for the 50% chance of successful treatment the cost is about $50,000 dollars a year. Sh.t, don't kid yourself that you are not affected. It ain't no joke and it ain't going away. There are OVER 5 million victims in the US alone. 200 million worldwide. According to every responsible reporting source, the number of victims has only just begun to surface.
DON'T BE FOOLED about the drug abuse you hear is the main reason for Hep C. There is so much you are not hearing.
Friends of Your Space HCV reach from the United States of America to Poland, Norway, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Ireland, The Netherlands, England, South Africa, Canada, Germany, Mexico, France, Australia, Israel, Korea and Argentina. Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! A world wide forum! THANKS TO Lucinda Williams for being the first friend of Your Space HCV. With knowledge of how a friend of hers was severely affected by Hep C, I did ask Lucinda for her support with full disclosure of this site's content. As first, fully informed, consenting friend to this site she cannot be removed from first friend space. Just can’t do it.

              My Interests

The truth. The truth is at the age of 30 and under we ain't who we've become. Until the age of 30 We own the world and we are party fuc'in animals. Nothing is serious, hardly anything is real unless we say it is.

Word today, word prior to 1990. Word in the 80's, 70's, 60's, 50's, 40's 30's, and 20's. Mmm don't think they had fun before that. Think they were focused on food or something.

It changed a bit in the 60's. We found DRUGS!!!!! Such a cool step up from Alcohol, snuff and stuff.

There was no Hep C. Not a soul knew prior to 1989 that the disease even existed. After that no one talked about it SO it continued...NO ONE knew to NOT to share a needle, a cocaine straw. NO ONE knew to sanitize dialysis equipment or Tat needles. The medical industry did not yet invent disposable syringes. And the blood supply was not safe until 1992.

Time goes by we are no longer 20 something. We grow up. We have families, good, solid jobs. Some of us are leaders in church or community or government. It doesn't matter who we are other than youth is a fantastic memory.

5, 10, 15, 20 years have gone by. Something happened all these years ago that not one soul knew existed. Hep C. When no one knew the disease could be got, Hep C was being spread.

So now they say 80% of victims of Hep C got it from Drug use. BUT that is not what people hear. People hear 80% of victims of Hep C are drug users. Did you just see the difference? If you didn't you must go back to the beginning and re read this entire story 'cause you are part of a worldwide problem blocking forward progress. Hep C Victims are silent because you don't get that last sentence.

              I'd like to meet:

              You

              Music:

The lyrics below come from a song written by Jack Chernos. "The Silence of Good People has been inducted into the National Civil Rights Museum.

Mr. Chernos has given this space permission to display these lyrics. The danger of being Silent fits perfectly within the cause of Positive Awareness of Hep C.

"It once was asked of Martin Luther King
How the progress of rights could be so long coming.
His answer was not the evil of some
But the silence of good people
Although we may never arrive in the garden
The sin is not in failure,
              But never starting
              My silent friend..."
