Try the BEST MySpace Editor and MySpace Backgrounds at MySpace Toolbox !1985, a creative wind, coming from the UK, was blowing through The Lowlands. At that time in Belgium, bands such as TC-Matic, The Scabs, The Employees, The Kids and many others were making the scene.
Inspired by music and intrigued by the sounds of those bands a new band was formed : Strangle the Parrot. They did their own thing, in their own unique Strangle-style. They looked good and they sounded fresh.First four guys, later five, created their own songs and now and then covered a song in their own personal way.During the nineties, their recipe changed slightly, together with the line-up.
Better than ever, spicier than before, they conquered the nineties and drove on and upward into the next century.After 20 years this band is still every bit as vibrant as it was in the eighties, but has grown significantly since. With the experience they cumulated over the years they also gained a lot of confidence. Today their repertoire is more powerful than ever before.
The band members each have their own roots, their own vibe and their own flavour. This diversity shows in their music. They play songs from the heart, from the soul, songs that go straight to the brain. Despite the absence of an extensive discography, they are most famous for their live performances. Belgiums best kept secret is what someone called them at their last performance. And perhaps, they are.The drive behind their music : never compromise, do your own thing.
Making music is their thing and that shows.
